This week’s Top Ten Tuesday, brought to you by The Broke and The Bookish, is all about book quotes! I often highlight passages in my kindle as I read. Sometimes I grab quotes that are funny; sometimes I grab quotes that really speak to me. I try to use them in my reviews and have been working on making teasers recently as well. So, in no particular order, here are a list of some of my favorite book quotes! (Click the picture to check out the book on Amazon. Click the Title to see my review!)

From Lost Avalon, by KS Thomas:

It’s obvious, isn’t it? It’s easier for you to love me enough to change. You’re trying to present it like its this grand gesture, like your love for me is so intense it gives you the strength to move mountains…and overcome addictions. Well, its bullshit, Blaise. It has nothing to do with how much you love me. Its about how much you hate yourself.

From My Commander by Alanea Alder:

It’s a good thing this thing wrapped at three; I was two seconds away from throat-punching that bitch. How can you stand her?

From #Poser by Cambria Hebert:

All she really wanted was to be important to someone, for someone to think she was special.

From Emphatic by Kaylee Ryan:

“You look at her just like my William used to look at me.” she says. I grin. “How is that exactly?” “Like she’s the sun and you’re simply here to revolve around her.”

From Capture by Rachel Van Dyken:

Man, he was pretty and, of course, still shirtless. One day a girl would house train him, and she’d use little marshmallow trails to do it.

From Pure Wicked by Shayla Black:

She wanted Mr. Darcy to move heaven and earth to marry her, sought an Edward Lewis who was willing to conquer his fear of heights to rescue her so she could rescue him right back, hoped for her own Johnny Castle to tell her parents that nobody puts Bristol in a corner, ached for an Edward Cullen who knew his soul well enough to take one look at her and realize she was “The One”.

From Breaking a Legend by Sarah Robinson:

Fuck, calm down Irish Hulk.

From Here They Lie by by DK Burrows:

He was the definition of what my father would call a very bad idea.

From Rip by Rachel Van Dyken:

All our lives we’re told that ugly, deformed, is bad-but its a lie. Sometimes the most terrifying things you will ever encounter are also the most beautiful.

From Licked by Brooke Blaine:

The high school gymnasium smelled like freshly waxed floors, Polo Sport, and bad decisions.

So, as you can see, I picked a pretty wide range of quotes! Sometimes, its just the random things that stick with me. Sometimes its because I think its super romantic (the quote from Pure Wicked! Swoon!). Other times, its because I think its hilarious! So, what do you think of these quotes?

  1. Wow, great quotes! I very like the first one it’s so feminine and full with straight and self control.
