Cute but Psycho is my first 5 star read of 2023! I just LOVED Matlida. She is quirky and strange, but very loyal and kind. I also loved the portrayal of the “mean girl” in this one. Other people think she is so nice and would never do anything out right rude, but she was a bully behind their backs. I think this type of person is so common as adults.

Both Etienne and Matilda have the worst families. They have grown up with some serious toxicity. Both families treat “differences” as abhorrent; it is really offensive. However, sadly, it happens. Sometimes families aren’t willing to accept their family member is neurodivergent. Fighting for his nephew is why Etienne landed in jail. So, all the drama and tension in the story comes from the family and the bully. Etienne and Matilda have a slow build to their relationship, but once they decide to give in to their feelings, things move FAST.

I am really loving the Gator Bait MC books and Cute but Psycho is already one of my favorite reads!
