What I Found Online:

Check out these #BloggerConfessions by Nick and Neyerda! I love their blog! My confession (which is included) is that I let my stats determine my self worth!!

So, I had a snow day this week (YAY!) and in honor of that, my sister sent me a link to this Snow Day Song by a teacher in TN. Its AWESOME!

Supercharged Love by Jenny Siegel as well!

Non-Bookish News:

As I mentioned above, we had a snow day on Wednesday! Being a teacher is cool for a lot of reasons, but summers and snow days are the top of that list! Thankfully though, we weren’t part of the crazy snow storm that started Friday! My NC friends have been posting pics of the snow and ice and its crazy! I even have a friend in Maryland who posted a snow pic that was at least a foot deep! NUTS! I hope y’all are safe! I know the power has gone out in quite a few places and I hope everyone is okay!

I had to give a small presentation to the other teachers I work with. I HATE doing that, but it was super short, just kind of updating everyone on what my committee is working on and when they can expect it. I have to have a full presentation by April and I am so nervous!

I have my biannual thyroid appointment this week. I have Hashimoto’s so I have to see my endocrinologist twice a year to check up on my medication and make adjustments if necessary. Usually these go smooth but I always worry they will find something troubling in my blood work. Its hard not to worry about that!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Oh stats can definitely get in my head too! I’m trying to work on that but it’s hard! Glad the presentation went well. I’m not a fan of that kind of thing either but it’s definitely better when it’s a quick update versus a whole speech. Good luck at your thyroid appointment and have a great week!

  2. I am glad you weren’t hit hard by the snow this time around. I sometimes wish I lived somewhere where I could enjoy a snow day–but then, I’m not very fond of the cold. I bet your presentation went great and was well received. I hate having to give presentations too. I’m not good at public speaking, even in front of a small group of people I know. I hate being the center of attention like that. Unfortunately, sometimes it can’t be helped, can it? Good luck with the full presentation! Good luck with the doctor’s visit this week! Take care and have a great week.

    • Yes, public speaking is NOT my thing. I love my coworkers though so it wasn’t terrible. I am already starting to freak about the whole group presentation. Teachers aren’t really open to new things sometimes…Have a good week!

  3. Yay for snow days!! I loved those as a kid and I know the teachers do too. I’m snowed in with at least a foot or more. Thankfully the power didn’t go out. Hope you’re staying warm and that your appointment goes well this week.

    • I can’t imagine being snowed in with no power! That would be really awful! I’m a bit of a homebody (thats a HUGE understatement!) so being snowed in is kind of my dream. As long as the power stays on! Glad you still have your power and hopefully you are able to dig out soon (or not, if you are a homebody like me!)

  4. Fingers crossed for your medical examination ! We haven’t had any snow this year, the year before neither, I’m starting to wonder if I remember what it looks like, lol ! And today, the sun is shining in that blue-blue sky and the temperatures make me think I’m in spring, go figure… I’ll have to show this video to my youngest daughter, she’s a huge Adele fan 😉 Enjoy your week !
