Fall in love with Graham Braden and Morgyn Montgomery in TRAILS OF LOVE.

When Graham Braden travels to Oak Falls, Virginia to attend the wedding of his buddy Reed Cross to Grace Montgomery, he sticks around to help with renovations to Reed’s new theater. The last thing he expects is to be asked to assess and possibly invest in Grace’s sister Morgan’s business endeavor. Graham is a careful, keen businessman, and Morgyn is impulsive, disorganized, and more interested in the energy flow in her eclectic retail shop than in the accuracy of her records. While Graham isn’t ready to open his pockets to the sassy, sexy business owner, he may be ready to open his heart.

The Bradens & Montgomerys are part of Melissa's Love in Bloom big-family romance collection. All Love in Bloom novels are written to stand alone and may also be enjoyed as part of the larger series, so dive right into this fun, sexy romance.

As I started Trails of Love, I couldn’t get this clip from Friends out of my head…

Morgyn is such a hippie! Her and Graham meet at a music festival, she is all about her quirky business….pretty much everything about her screams hippie! Graham is kind of an odd hippie. He has turned his car into a super awesome mobile campsite which makes sense because he is an engineer, but also kind of hippie-ish because he is that much of a nomad that he needed to convert his car to a roving campsite. These two meet and there is instant chemistry and lust. The more time they spend together, the more they like each other. Morgyn is very free spirited, and really, Graham is as well, he just doesn’t take unnecessary risks. His job is investing in businesses and helping them get off the ground (or keep going), he loves traveling, and he is really into extreme sports. He likes his nomadic lifestyle.

Both Morgyn and Graham have big families and we get to see lots of side characters, which I enjoy. Morgyn’s siblings certainly add to the chaos, and Graham’s brother Zev is pretty unforgettable too!

So, as I mentioned, there is obvious chemistry and these two want some of the same things in life (freedom, fun, adventure, etc). Graham sees that he could really have a future with Morgyn, but in order to do so, she would need to rethink her business. She could ‘take her show on the road’ so to speak, but Graham has to convince her of it!

My struggle with the book really was some of the conversations between the siblings or the parents. Like, Morgyn is a free spirit and all, but talking to her friends or her parents or his parents about their sex life was just awkward to me. Also, I felt like their love story (Morgyn and Graham) was a bit too sex focused. I don’t normally say that, but they seemed to always be talking about sex, having sex, or making innuendo about sex.  When that seems to be all a character is thinking of or talking about, I kind of lose respect for the relationship.

Trails of Love is a fun, easy read and will appeal to readers who love the quirky, nontraditional characters! Combine that with a large, fun family and a picturesque setting and you have an easy weekend read!

    • I couldn’t stop thinking about this scene for the entire first few chapters because Morgyn reminded me so much of “Rain”. “I know her! I bought homemade soap from her at a Dead show!”. Morgyn makes her own art and such out of recycled items so it just seemed perfect!
