Lily LeBlanc isn’t versed in the art of casual sex, but after seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship, she’s definitely willing to give it a shot. And who better to try it with than her best friend’s boyfriend’s best friend? What could possibly go wrong? Nothing at all.
NHL player, Randy Ballistic, lives up to his last name on the ice and in the bedroom. His best friend and teammate has recently given up the puck bunnies and traded them in for a real girlfriend. And she just happens to have a seriously feisty, extra-hot best friend on the rebound. Randy’s more than happy to be Lily’s spring board back into the dating scene.
Casual sex is only casual until those pesky things called emotions get involved. Once that happens, someone’s bound to gets pucked over.

what i think

Pucked over was exactly what I expect from the Pucked series. I took a chance on Pucked a while back. It wasn’t quite my ‘normal’ read. I fell for Vi and Alex! Then, Pucked Up was released and I was sure I wouldn’t like Miller and Sunny. Again, I was wrong and I loved them (dare I say, maybe even a bit more than Vi and Alex?!?). So, when Pucked Over was announced I was CERTAIN I wouldn’t like Randy and Lily more than Vi, Alex, Miller, and Sunny. I mean, you don’t really know Randy much (other than he is, like his single teammates and Miller and Alex before they got in relationships, a man whore) and Lily wasn’t really likable in the other books. She seemed a bit close minded and bitchy. However, I love them both so much now. Although, when Lily said this, I wanted to punch her in her too skinny face…

I have a hard time keeping weight on…

I literally have NO IDEA what that is like. Seriously, like no frame of reference so I kind of hate her. But, I preserved because, over all, she was funny. And you can’t help but feel bad for her because her ex is a douche canoe. So, her and Randy do a lot of back and forth. She doesn’t want to want him, he doesn’t want a relationship. Eventually they start doing the ‘casual hook up’ thing. In Randy’s words…

I like that she’s my kind of crazy.

And its true-they are both a bit mad. In typical Pucked fashion, there is lots of steamy trysts and denial of feelings. Things get real and bad decisions are made. I’m looking at you, Randy.

So, why did I loved Pucked Over so much? Its one of those books that sneaks up on you. You don’t realize how involved you are until its 3 am and you can’t stop reading. Its funny because Helena’s books usually are, the characters are overly honest (seriously, I have never in my life shared that much with my friends), and the emotions are believable. Honestly, its just works and I don’t know many authors that could pull it off as well as she does. Just trust me on this-want to read these books. (And I really want to know who will be in the next book! Lance and Tash? I really hated him in Pucked Up and Pucked Over!)
