Hot military heroes, the women who love them, and the dogs that always have their backs. EXTREME HONOR is the first book in a high adrenaline contemporary suspense series from Piper J. Drake.

what i think

Extreme Honor was a fast paced story with really enjoyable characters. Honestly, what drew me to this book initially was the dog. Hot military guy who trains dogs?!? Hello dream man! Thankfully, the book lived up to being more than just a pretty puppy dog face! I actually kind of liked that Lyn was a little insecure. She wasn’t so insecure as to make her annoying; she just would ask questions that all women wonder when a relationship starts, you know? It felt very believable to me! Her inner turmoil made her a more relatable character and I really did bond with her and want her to come out victorious! I also enjoyed the slow burn between her and David. They don’t just hop into bed together! Thank goodness! That being said, once they actually do hook up, the relationship moves at WARP speed which was a bit strange after the slow build up. Trying to figure out who the ‘bad guy’ was kept me guessing. Trying to figure out what the heck was the deal with her stepfather was a puzzle as well! Overall, if you want a fast paced romantic suspense with a military hottie who trains dogs and a heroine who is likable this is a great choice. I am really looking forward to book 2!
