what i think

So, I grabbed this book because I love romantic suspense! Its my favorite genre hands down. So, I was excited to start Riveted. But oh my gosh I didn’t think I was going to stick with it. The beginning is SO CHEESY. Its not only insta-love (which I don’t mind) but its cheesy insta-love. I was rolling my eyes so hard I got a headache. No joke! But, I kept reading because I was curious about her dead husband and his shady dealings. So, kudos to Macallan for keeping me interested enough to want to keep reading when I found the characters gag worthy!

However, I couldn’t keep reading for long. Seriously, the eye rolling turned into actual groans and snorts at the book. My husband finally said “Why are you still reading it?” and I realized he was right (shhhh…don’t tell him that!). So, this book was a DNF for me at 25%. I tried. I really did.

I will note that I think the cover is gorgeous!
