What do Dash Lexington, Easton Wells, and Connell Murphey have in common?

They put their lives on the line each day they clock into work. That and their fierce love for the women who match them step for step.

When the studio head who produces both Dash and Easton’s shows announces auditions for a special series to highlight the E.D.G.E men’s skills, Connell and an extreme stunt man named Wade Roberts are the first stars chosen.

Their objective? Accompany Easton deep in the Amazon where he’s recently discovered the lost city of Paititi. With half the structure submerged in dangerous waters, a slew of unpredictable rainforest storms, and a nearly inaccessible location, each man will have to put aside his alpha tendencies and utilize his skills in order to survive the perils of the City of Gold.

But when an enemy from Easton’s past threatens the love of his life, she is met with the wrath of the newly formed E.D.G.E. clan, who will stop at nothing to protect the women they love.

Edge of Brotherhood is a continuation of the stories of Dash, Easton, and Connell so its kind of important that you have read the previous stories! So, Dash, Easton, Connell and new addition, Wade, make up the EDGE boys and they are headed to help Easton with his latest discovery, The City of Gold. While usually Sadie and Blake accompany their men on their journeys, they can’t go on this trip. But, Rain goes (she is needed to film the expedition).

Knowing that Blake and Sadie stay behind kind of lets you know right away that romance isn’t the focus. I would have loved if the girls went as well because I love these couples and would love more. You get some glimpse at least, and Rain is on the expedition so there is obvious romance between her and Easton! One thing I have enjoyed about the books in this series is the romance. All of these couples are different: Dash and Blake were friends to lovers, Easton and Rain were a second chance romance, and Connell and Sadie were a bit of enemies to lovers. All their stories are well written and swoon worthy. These men are very much in love and its great! These ladies are no shrinking violets either, so if you like strong heroines, you will love these ladies! Blake is a meteorologist and storm chaser, Sadie is a phenomenal deep sea diver, and Rain is an accomplished explorer and videographer!

What I love about these books is the unique settings and careers! Dash is a meteorologist who usually chases tornadoes but on this mission, he is the weather guru. Easton is the archeologist (think Indiana Jones…he even wears the hat!). Connell is the deep sea diver. Wade, the new addition, is the stunt man! They are all unique in their professions, but they are daredevils and thrill seekers to the extreme! If you want a book with unique settings and unique characters, you will enjoy this series a great deal because its packed with both! Plus, great relationships, true love, and danger everywhere they go! Edge of Brotherhood kind of defies classification: it doesn’t really follow any typical tropes and I appreciate that a great deal!

Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the pictures Lee includes to help you visualize the EDGE boys who narrate each chapter. Yum!
