Books I meant to read in 2015: Top Ten Tuesday

2015 want to read TTTWelcome to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday from The Broke and the Bookish! This week’s topic? 2015 releases I meant to read but never got around to… Yeah, not gonna lie, there are a LOT of these for me! Like, A LOT. So, here we go!

The Bourbon Kings by JR Ward

So, in the spirit of full disclosure, I have never read a JR Ward book. Yep, I am a ROMANCE book blogger who has never read anything by JR Ward. (I feel like I’m at a Romance Anonymous meeting or something…). But, this book sounds good and its been optioned for TV so I figure I better check it out soon!

Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn

I have this book on my kindle. Everyone I know who has read it can’t stop raving about it! I even have book 2 sitting on my kindle waiting. Why having I dove in? Maybe its because I want to wait until the series is complete (y’all know I don’t do well with cliffhangers) or maybe I’m just unsure. Sometimes, books that everyone else loves I just don’t connect with. Whatever the reason, I WILL tackle this book in 2016!

Kyland by Mia Sheridan

This is another Romance Anonymous confession. I have never read a Mia Sheridan book! Archers voice? Nope! Kyland? Nope. I have all her books on my kindle. I grabbed them during a 99 cent sale. I still haven’t read a single one. Kyland is the one I think I am most drawn to, so I promise to read it this year.

The Hooker and the Hermit by LH Cosway and Penny Reid

LH Cosway and Penny Reid are 2 of my favorite authors. So far, I have loved everything they have written. And this book sounds hysterical! Yet, I haven’t managed to squeeze it in to my reading schedule. The only reason I can think is that its on KU so I feel like there is no rush for some reason (I have no idea why I feel that way when it comes to books on KU but they always seem to get pushed down to the bottom of my TBR)

Truth or Beard by Penny Reid2015 want to read TTT2

Again, LOVE Penny Reid. Her writing is smart and funny. I was gifted a copy of this book on release day and it has sat on my kindle waiting for me.

Lux by Courtney Cole

This is book 3 in the Nocte trilogy. This series is a total mind twisting journey; sadly though, there was quite a long wait between book 2 and 3 and quite frankly, I kind of forget a good deal. This is NOT a book you want to read when you have forgotten because you are already trying to figure out what the hell is real or not! So, in order to read this one, I am going to need to do a reread!

A Stone in the Sea and Drowning to Breathe by AL Jackson

I started A Stone in the Sea once. I gave up. But, even in doing so, I didn’t want to mark the book as DNF because I kept thinking about it. So, I do want to finish the book and read the next book because I’m pretty sure I will enjoy it. I just need to be in the mood for ANGST!

Until July by Aurora Rose Reynolds

Another amazing romance author that I, for some reason, avoided until recently. I decided to give Until November a shot and it was one of those books I read in one sitting! LOVED IT! So, now I want to keep going and read about the kids from the first series! Until July is waiting for me on my kindle; I just need the time to read it!

Cocky Bastard by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

Hottie Aussie? Funny road trip? Heck yes! Again, this one is waiting on my kindle (are you starting to see how packed my kindle is with AWESOME books that haven’t been opened?!)

The Game Plan by Kristen Callihan

I FLOVED The Hook Up and The Friend Zone. In fact, Gray Grayson is one of my all time favorite book boyfriends. Sadly, The Game Plan came out at a time I was SERIOUSLY over booked with ARC’s I scheduled for the blog and I haven’t been able to read it yet. But, soon! I am coming for you Dex!

Well, thats my list (and my confessions)! What books released last year that you wanted to read but just haven’t yet? Are you like me and they are sitting on your kindle? (Please say yes so I don’t feel like such a hoarder!) Share your thoughts in the comments!
