Tony Adamo, billionaire heir to a massive corporation, has no interest in the money and prestige his title brings. What he does want? To stay sharp so the other MMA fighters don’t pummel him in the ring, and to keep his unworthy father from sullying the name of the company his grandfather so lovingly built. But when he locks eyes with the woman he's never forgotten, Tony needs her like he’s never needed anything before.
Ginny Frazier hasn’t seen Tony since the soul-shattering kiss they shared years ago. Ginny was always the good girl, the kind girl—but something about the hot as hell man with a smile to die for that her older sister brought home made her melt in a way no one ever had before. Despite their scorching kiss the night of her cruel sister’s breakup with Tony, they never amounted to more. Until now.
Tony was stupid to let Ginny go, and now that she’s back in his life, he plans to hold onto her forever. The one problem? Ginny is engaged to a powerful, deadly man—a man who holds a dark secret that could shatter the Frazier family if it ever came to light.
Will Tony be able to keep from losing Ginny all over again? And can Ginny save her family, and still have true love?
A Fight for Me Novel
Hold You Close is book 2 in the Fight for Me series by Jessica Linden. I devoured book 1 of the series and just adored Jessica Linden’s writing style. Its a bit of Romeo and Juliet, a bit of rough and tumble, and all deliciously sexy! Hold You Close brings more of that signature.
Tony, our hero, is a reluctant CEO and former MMA fighter. He was engaged to the heroine’s, Ginny, sister. They broke up years before and Tony and Ginny haven’t seen each other since then. Now, Ginny is engaged to a shady guy in an effort to save her father’s business and Tony knows something is up. He is determined to save Ginny and keep her for himself. Woven into this relationship is the shady business Tony’s father is up to, and the shady relationship Ginny’s sister had in the past. So, Tony and Ginny are having to deal with Ginny’s crazy fiancé, Tony’s dad, and Ginny’s sister all at once. It certainly keeps the reader engaged!
One thing I love about Linden’s heroes is they aren’t wishy-washy. Once they decide that the heroine is the woman they love, its on like Donkey Kong! They are alphas for sure, but not alpha-holes which seem so very common in romance novels today. I think thats why I enjoy these books-there is little ‘will they won’t they’ or pushing away. The hero recognizes the heroine is NOT in love and he goes after her. I appreciate that the tension doesn’t come from the internal struggle of the couple.

Running into Love by Aurora Rose Reynolds, Ride Rough by Laura Kaye, The Strongest Steel by Scarlet Cole…then you will probably like Hold You Close!

This is an new series to me and I love the sounds of it too! Tony and Ginny sound like they have a whole bunch of crazy to deal with. Great review!
