Hot on Ice is an anthology of a hockey team who just won the Cup! Each player gets a story of his day with the cup and how that leads to love.

Before I talk about some of the stories, I have to tell you that part of the proceeds go to a charity I care deeply about: Homes for our Troops. This charity builds handicapped accessible homes for wounded veterans. I have a friend whose family benefited from this charity and they are so grateful. I hope you will grab this anthology to enjoy hockey hotties and help wounded veterans.

The first story, Deep Check, is a second chance/enemies to lovers trope. Finn won the cup and is headed back to visit his former best friends grave. Asher died in a house fire and he and Finn had a big blow out after graduation and never patched things up before Asher’s unexpected death. January was their other friend, and she too was left behind by Finn and alone when Asher died. But, Finn is back and pushing all of January’s buttons. She had a huge crush on him in high school, but he totally turned her down cold. The fight between Finn and Asher? Yeah, that was about January. So, Friends to enemies, enemies to lovers. Sweet and endearing, I liked Finn and January!

Another great story in the anthology is Bear Naked. Bear Thompson goes back to his tiny hometown in Nova Scotia  where his family guilt trips him about never being home, and he has to deal with Aria, a girl he once loved. I loved that the story made use of the native language and strong family ties. Its also a great second chance love story!

Overall, this is a great anthology with lots of unique voices. While each story centers around a hockey player, every story is unique and brings something different. I discovered authors I hadn’t heard of before but found I enjoyed their style a great deal! I hope you will check out the book; its win-win really because you get great romance stories and homes for troops gets support they need!
