Passions in Death continues the Eve Dallas story and I love every minute of it. I will never get tired of this story! In this case, Eve and Peabody catch the murder of woman celebrating her upcoming wedding at a sex club that is well know to Eve. It also mirrors a personal experience for Eve from the celebration just before her own wedding.
I enjoyed the story. There are plenty of suspects and some you really think they must have done it. But, you also get the continuing sweet stories of Eve and Roarke, Mavis and her family, McNab and Peabody and the new house, and more. Most of the story focuses Eve’s investigation and her various processes for solving the murder. I love her process because it is both calculated and well plans and strokes of inspiration. This was a great addition to the series and fans will, no doubt, gobble up Passions in Death with the usual fervor! If you haven’t listened to this series in audio, you simply must!! Susan Ericksen is sensational!

The Stephanie Plum series (but grittier), The Kay Scarpetta series, The Renee Ballard series…then you will probably like Passions in Death!
We’re review twins. But I always read because I have a different voice in my head since Susan Erickson is VI Warshawski to me. She sounds too old for Eve to me. That happens sometimes. Susan Erickson is a great narrator and I have enjoyed her work on other books.
I love this series so much! Can’t wait to read this book.
