Wedding planner Felicia Bradford is in trouble. Mercenaries are holding her sister hostage and threatening to kill her unless Felicia helps them steal top secret information from the Navy’s Special Operations Headquarters. Having no other way to access the base, she pulls a gun on the first man in a Navy uniform she finds, demanding he get her through the gate.
Navy SEAL Logan Dunn just got back from a mission in Syria and is looking for a little down time to relax. That plan goes out the window when a beautiful woman shoves a gun in his back and begs him to do something he can tell she doesn’t want to be part of. Logan does what any Navy SEAL would do in the same situation—he saves the girl and takes out the bad guys.
But their actions that day kick off a crazy chain of events, including a fast-burning whirlwind romance, an out-of-control sister, an insane covert plot involving a defecting Russian pilot, a mercenary bent on revenge, and a sunrise wedding for a bride who never wakes up before noon.
Getting through her sister's kidnapping will look like a piece of cake compared to what comes next.

This is book 2 in the SEALs of Coronado but you don’t have to have read book 1. Strong Silent SEAL focuses on the relationship between Logan and Felicia. They meet when Felicia and her sister are kidnapped and forced to break into the NAB to place a listening device. In order to get onto the base, Felicia has to kidnap Logan at gunpoint. He quickly figures out she is in trouble and helps her save herself and her sister. They start dating and its a bit of a slow process. The book starts with a bang but then hits the brakes when Logan and Felicia start their relationship. Maybe it wouldn’t have felt so slow if there was more information given about the characters. You know so little about them that it was difficult to connect and really understand why they were the way they were. Of course, the danger isn’t over and there is another fast bit of danger for the last 10% of the book or so. Overall, it was a quick, enjoyable read but I am still left thinking it could be better. I felt the same way about the 1st book-started with a bang, then got slow.

Susan Stoker, Emmy Curtis, Sharon Hamilton…then you will probably like Strong Silent SEAL!
Sounds like it has a good premise. I’ll soon be starting her other series (To Love A Wolf to be exact), and I can’t wait to dig into this author’s writing style.
Ah it looks like it suffers from being lacking in character development. I can do slow books with romances, but I definitely need to feel more of an attachment to the characters. At least it wasn’t all that bad though.
I am glad to see that this was still a likeable story even if there were some lacking moments. Great Review.
I love these type of reads, I don’t mind a slow romance, but like my characters to be developed.
