This Week’s Book Haul:

So, I have been granted my first auto approval and its on Edelweiss! I was blown away because I am not a big Edelweiss user, but Avon has given me access to all their books!!!

Seriously, thank you so much Avon books, St. Martin’s Press, Berkley, and the authors!

Non-Bookish News:

Ok, I need help! First, I need to pick a book off my past due Net Galley shelf! So, vote for your pick below! Seriously, I can’t decide!

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

AND….I need to pick a TBR book for next month. Honestly, I will probably pick 2 since I scaled way back on my ARC reviews for April. So, help me!

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

I actually had to work all 5 days this past week. It was weird! Between random days off for basketball games, holidays, etc, we haven’t had a full school week in awhile! Next week, we start state testing, the seniors have Kairos (a religious retreat), and we have no school on Friday. Its going to be a mad house! Oh, by the way, the boys basketball team at the school I teach at won again and will be heading to the state semi finals on Friday. At 2 pm. Seriously? Who schedules this stuff!? Oddly enough-we were already schedule off on Friday anyway, so it works out. But, really? 2 pm on a school day!? Do these people not realize they are scheduling High School sports??!?

The weather is still nutty here. Last week it snowed a few times. Now its suppose to be 60 for the next few days. Seriously, I never know how to dress. I have to check the weather app daily because it changes so fast.

Other than that, not much is going on! I really need to clean my house. Its a disaster zone! But…naps. And then books. And then playing with the dogs. If I ever become a millionaire, I am hiring a maid first. Seriously, its like my dream.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I voted for Hilman and How to Date A Douchebag. Hitamnya sounds great.. alpha man! I cant wait to read your review. The title itself is already a winner for me. 😉
I read How to Date a Douchebag and it was great. A great NA romance. You need to read it.
Wow.. you have so many books to read. I would be overwhelmed if I had that many. And congratulations on being an auto approval too!! So happy for you. 😀

  2. Wow, you read/reviewed a lot of books last week! Go you!! lol! I read 3….haha! No wonder I’m so behind. Congratulations on being autoapproved for Avon! That’s super exciting! I chuckled a little at the title of How to Date a Douchebag. I’m going to have to look that one up because I’m a little curious now. Hope you have a great week!

    • Oh I didn’t read all of those last week. The library loot post had 5 books on it that I listened to in January, February, and March. It was like a wrap up post.

  3. I picked How to date a douchbag since I want to read that one 🙂 I have a meme each month that lets people vote on a book to read and review. It’s a fun meme it’s how I get to some of those books I never thought I would get too.

Looks Like you are going to be busy and with school only have a couple months left that must be exciting and crazy all at once 🙂

Have a great week, Samantha! Happy Reading! ox

  4. I could use a maid . . . It sounds like you have been crazy busy! I hope things will settle down for you soon. I voted in your two polls and will be curious to see what you end up reading. 🙂 Have a great week, Samantha!

  5. Hmmm. How did I miss that new Jay Crownover book? And how cool is that, auto approved to Avon books! Jealous! How did you manage that? I’m not on there a lot either. It’s kinda hard to navigate.

    • I have no idea how I got auto approved!! I am never on there for the same reason-its hard to navigate! But, I am not gonna question the auto approval because I LOVE Avon books. I am just gonna thank my lucky stars and hope it wasn’t a mistake that they will catch and fix!

  6. I’ve seen some videos about the hippo on FB I think it was. It’s kind of ugly but also cute lol.

It sounds like things are always chaotic at your school! Ugh, state testing is so annoying. And yeah apparently the people scheduling the sports events do seem to keep forgetting they’re scheduling for high schoolers! But at least it worked out since Friday was already a day off.

I keep having to check the weather too, it needs just stabilize already!

    Have a great week 🙂

  7. Congrats on getting auto approved!

It was so hot here in TX today. I mean, it’s not even Spring yet–well, I guess it is in one day, but still! Too early for it to be so hot.

Anyway, hope you have a great week! ~Aleen

  9. Boo to working all 5 days. Pure nonsense 🙂 For real who schedules those games?? Oh man my house is such a mess lately. We are just too busy. I would so hire a maid if I won the lottery too!! Hope you enjoy your new book (congrats on the auto-approval!) and have a great week!

  10. I take weird shorter weeks anytime 🙂 Yay for going to the state semi finals! HAHA! You don’t really like those schedulers huh? NAH! Naps, dogs and books trumps cleaning EVERY TIME 🙂
Why do I think I’ve seen Fiona EVERYWHERE??? Is it Fiona Kardassian now?? Waaaay cuter though AND actually there is a reason for Fiona to be famous ;-P

  11. So awesome about the auto approval! Go you! 🙂 That’s crazy about the game scheduling. Last time it was late at night and now it’s during the school day. Crazy! We’ve been getting crazy warm weather here (in the 80’s) and I’m already over it. LOL And if that maid ever shows up ill you send her to my house next? 🙂 Off to vote on your books now!
