This Week’s Book Haul:

Non-Bookish News:

Its almost Christmas break! We have 1 regular day on Monday, the exams on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then FREEDOM! Well, sort of. I have to administer an ACT on Thursday and Friday, but then FREEDOM! I’m ready for a break.

Saturday I had to chaperone the Christmas dance. Its a pretty easy duty as far as duties go-not many kids attend, its very low key, and its so close to Christmas break I don’t mind having to spend my Saturday night at work.

Still no snow here. But, it was CRAZY cold this week. Saturday got a bit warmer (40 degrees).

Yeah, that was pretty much my week. Busy at work, weather was cold, chaperoned a high school dance. Living the dream people!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. It was a quiet week here mostly, glad yours was mostly good. It always cracks me up how young the kids look at some of those events, like dances, I always think man did I look like that in my day? Ha ha probably so! Too funny . Hope you have an awesome break when it arrives, it’s always nice to have a break coming. 🙂

Hope the new books are all fun!

  2. WOOT Christmas Break is almost here… I little man goes until Friday, but they have early dismal on that day. I’ve got relatives arriving on Wednesday. Once they get here it’s going to be crazy, with cooking, taking them to the mail (Ahhhh I h8 the mail close to Christmas), going to a party at school on friday, celebrating Christmas with some family close by on Saturday and then Christmas on Monday. Busy. Who knows if I’ll get any reading done. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Holiday shopping is done for me, but guess who hasn’t done any…. Yep, my hubby. I keep reminding him, but still nothing. Oh My! Last minute.
Have a great week and happy reading.

  3. I hope the exams go smoothly this week so you can get started on your Christmas break. I’m so envious of your time off! 🙂
I voted for Tillie Cole in your Author Love poll, simply because I’m been meaning to try something by her for ages. I read one by her, A Thousand Boy Kisses, last year and truly disliked it. But a friend of mine, who loves TC, has begged me not to give up on her, saying that ATBK was not TC’s usual style and that I need to try another one. I’m still on the fence… LOL

  4. I would love to help you with your Author Love, but I have only read one of those authors, and I had only read one of her books. Sorry. It makes me sad that kids don’t attend school dances anymore. I remember them being such a big deal when I was in school. I hope this week goes smoothly so you can enjoy your freedom.

  5. Sinful Empire is a story I can’t wait for!!! I have been waiting for it so impatiently. We haven’t had much snow, some but it melts pretty quickly.

I spent a few days changing my theme for my site but other than that not much anything else but working. Hope you have a wonderful week and enjoy some fun stuff before Christmas.

  6. Yay for Christmas break. I hope you’re having a wonderful week and enjoying your books. I’m still not done with Christmas shopping. Anyway, I voted for Kristen Ashley. Love her books. I hope you have a wonderful reading week. ?❤️

  7. I’m so voting for Nailni Singh!!! But it was a hard choice between Nalini and Kristen Ashley. I don’t think you can get it wrong by choosing either. But still, go with Nalini – Psy Changelings or Archangel – both series are AWESOME!!!!!!

I can’t wait to see how you like Shelter. I struggled with her books before so I didn’t request Shelter. I want to be able to DNF without feeling guilty – oops. Sorry, but I DNF pretty quickly, since I have ZERO time for reading at the moment. So, if a book doesn’t work immediately it’s being discarded. But I really hope you’ll love Shelter, because I would love to give it a try.

Sinful Empire and THE HOOKUP are books I can’t wait to read. I think I’ll jump into HOOKUP first, since I already preordered it and I haven’t started the Mount trilogy – so those three books will be on my tbr for after Christmas. CAN’T WAIT!!!!

Have a great week and happy reading.
