Non-Bookish News:

If you have been reading any of my Sunday Posts the past few weeks, you know that we have been house hunting. We were going to build, but then someone bought the house right from under us. So, we were going to find another lot to build on. We loved the lot and were so excited to hear back from the builder. Then on Wednesday we did hear back…They wanted WAY more than we planned to spend. So, we were back to square one. Our realtor sent us a house listing that had just come on the market. We went to see it that night and put in an offer. After 24 of the LONGEST hours of my life waiting to see if they would accept, counter offer, or reject, we finally got a counter offer and after only a little back and forth, came to an agreement. We bought a house!! Its awesome and I am so excited!

  1. Congrats on the new house, Samantha! That’s very exciting, and it’s also great because it means you’ll be able to move much sooner than if you bought a lot to build on 🙂
    Good luck with packing 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  2. Congratulations on buying the new house. It looks lovely. Buying a new house is definitely a stressful thing, but it looks like you have a great one. Good luck with packing etc
    Happy reading!

    • Yes, that is all our yard. And its only 1/2 as big as the back yard!! We actually wanted a huge yard because of our dogs. My brother runs a landscaping business so I am pretty sure we will hire him to mow 🙂

  3. Awesome. I wondered how the land offer went. Now you have something even better. A house all ready for you! And such a lovely big yard too. Now for the fun part. Making it your own:)

  4. I love that house! It looks exactly like one that I’d want to live in. I have to say that I think it is your review posts lately that are adding books to my TBR list. 🙂 So thanks for that! I’ll be looking forward to some of your reviews this week as well. Have a great one, and thanks for stopping by my Sunday Post earlier!

  5. Congratulations on your new house! It looks really nice and I love the front porch. We’ve only moved twice and I hate the long wait to find out if you got the house. At least this is one less thing for you to worry about. Have a great week!
