This Week’s New Releases:

What I Found Online:

I love these suggestions from Parajunkie regarding being a PA to an author!

This Week’s Book Haul:

Did y’all hear me SCREAM when I got Broken Prince?

I grabbed a few books on sale this week as well (cause, you know, I obviously don’t have enough to read! Hahaha!)

And I won these two from Book Binge! Yay!!!

Non-Bookish News:

We are getting settled in the house! We hung some of the curtains, got the TV mounted in the living room, and almost have  the apartment cleaned out (Full disclosure-it is a DISASTER ZONE! I am honestly embarrassed!) The dogs are loving the new place and having so much space to run and play.

I binge watched Teen Mom 2 this week. Yep, its like a drug. I can’t turn away from the train wreck. Do you have any guilty pleasure tv shows?? Please tell me I am not alone…Oh and then Orange is the New Black season 3 was released. But, I am only allowed to watch that with my hubby, so I can’t binge on it all day!

So, fellow bloggers, Yoast SEO updated this week. Since the update, I can’t get my keywords to save. GRRRRR! I have deleted plugins to try and find a conflict, but nothing. I posted in the help forum on wordpress but all I have gotten was either “I’m having that issue as well” or “deactivate all your plugins and change your theme to wordpress 2014 and see if it works then”. What the hell kind of advice is that?!? (PS-I did the plug in thing. Didn’t help and it was huge pain in my ass!) Sigh…one day, I will be tech savvy and will be able to fix this. Today isn’t that day. Tomorrow isn’t looking good either!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

    • Don’t cry! I know how you feel though! There weren’t any signs up-her publicist just contacted blogs she works with and sent the book. Its another massive cliffhanger book! Gah!! This series is going to be the death of me!

  1. I haven’t heard of Broken Prince before, Samantha… and I feel completely out of the loop. This is what happens when I don’t participate in WoW posts anymore, I guess. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
You have some other great books in your haul, though! I can’t wait to read Don’t Tempt Me and Her Darkest Nightmare!
I’m glad you’re getting settled in your new house – and that the dogs love it. I bet your old place is a disaster zone… it’s amazing how there can be dirt in places that are really difficult to access!
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading. xoxo

    • Oh Broken Prince is book 2. Paper Princess is book one and it was SO GOOD!!! Major cliffy though!
I got some amazing books this week! I feel so lucky and I want to read them all right now!

  2. Congrats on settling in! I can’t even imagine moving this place would be a nightmare!
You got a LOT of books this week and I want to read the Royal’s series, I have the first book. Maybe a COYER read.

SEO is Pissing me off. It tells me all the time my content is bad and I feel like it’s judging me. Stop judging me SEO! Even when I put the keyword in it still tells me my SEO is bad and the content isn’t good. Really? They need to fix that and not with the advice they gave you.

I hope you have a fantastic week! Happy Reading! oxo

    • Yes-what is up with the new ‘content’ rating. Like I need them to tell me they don’t like my passive voice. And, half of what they flagged as passive isn’t even passive voice!!! I’m so over it!
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who found the advice ridiculous! The next step they suggested was to go back to the previous version. Like I know how to do that!! Grrr!

  3. Ugh. I’m looking at an upcoming move in the next month and I’m not looking forward to it at all. We still don’t even have a house yet. Hopefully that will change when we go to look at houses this week. I can not believe BP is already out. I still have not read Paper Princess. >.< I'm so falling behind on this. I need to snag a copy asap so that I can catch up.

    • Yay for a new house though! At least there is always that bonus. But the moving process-yuck! I’m over it. Broken Prince hasn’t been released yet-I got an ARC copy. Paper princess was a major cliffy!! I was dying for Broken Prince and now its a cliffy!

  4. You are definitely not alone in the guilty pleasure shows! I love The Bachelor and love the train wreck that is Bachelors in Paradise. So much fun! Yay for getting settled! Moving is one of those thankless never ending tasks and it always feels so good to have a little bit of normalcy. Have a great week!

    • Yay for guilty pleasure tv! Moving is awful-even when you hire movers and such. Its like never ending! I feel like the process just won’t end! Gah!

  5. Gah you got Pieces?? I still haven’t heard back about that book on Netgalley yet :-/

I can’t stand those Teen MOm shows lol, but we’re all entitled to our guilty pleasures! I do watch some other shows on MTV though (that is the channel Teen Mom is on, right?).

I’m glad you’re getting settled into the house, even if it is a mess. It’ll get all put away and fixed up eventually 🙂

As for Yoast SEO, I don’t even use keywords, so I can’t help you there. I don’t do anything with the Yoast plugin except choose the proper picture for FB shares. I let it do the rest on its own, I don’t really give a crap what it thinks about my content lol.

  6. I used to have Yoast SEO but everytime I kept trying it, I could never configure it correctly. I’ve added and deleted that plugin probably 4 times. I have no idea what to tell you on that except that it may be conflicting with your template or something goofy. Heck, I have no clue!

I’ve got to ask… how much have you spent at Target on stuff for the house now? It’s bad, right 😉 tee, hee…

    • Oh gosh the Target trips!!! Its nuts!!! And when Target got to be too much, I started checking Amazon which is even worse because I don’t even have to leave the house!
Yoast is making me crazy. For now, I have decided to ignore it. I am seriously considering just deleting it but for some reason, I just can’t make myself do it!

  7. I’m seeing Broken Prince everywhere this week. I so need to read Paper Princess but you know… time, job, life, etc. As soon as I can find someone to pay me to stay home and read I’ll be golden. 🙂 Love seeing Wicked in your haul. I love JLA and Wicked was a lot of fun. I’m super excited about Torn releasing next month.

    • Girl, getting paid to stay home and read is the Holy Grail!! Thankfully, right now, I’m as close as I can get-a teacher on summer vacation. I have enjoyed JLA but I have never read this book and when it went on sale, I snagged it right up!

  8. I’ll have to check out that post by Parajunkee as I do sort of PA work for two authors. Nice haul you got this week, I won Don’t Tempt me in a giveaway, looking forward to reading it. I grabbed Wicked when it was on sale as well, couldn’t resist that one.

Plugin trouble can be annoying, maybe wait till the next update, sometimes that will fix it. I had that happen to me a few times. That’s good to hear you’re settling in in the new house and the dogs like it as well. I hope you’re having a good week so far!
