Non-Bookish News:

I finally got a whole weekend off! Hooray! Those 6 day work weeks were starting to get OLD. It was a super busy week. 1st quarter ended last week, which always leads to my students in a panic trying to get in work at the VERY last minute. So, Monday was spent trying to figure out which kids were failing classes and needed to make up work. Not the best part of job. Then I had a training on Thursday that was such a waste of time. Sigh…Oh well! At least I have Saturday and Sunday off!

Its suppose to be 80 here next week. Its the beginning of November and its going to be 80! Are you kidding me? Where the heck is fall? I want cold weather and sweaters and boots!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’m so excited for Hard Hitter! I need to read it soonish!
Ugh and tell me about this weather. It was very hot the previous week and this week it got really chilly and I heard it’s getting warm again next week. This constant change annoys me!
I hope you enjoy your books and your weekend off, Sam!

    • I actually squealed when I got the email with Hard Hitter. I LOVED book 1 so much. The weather totally sucks right now. Its hot, then its cold, and now its gonna be 80 degrees on Halloween?!? What is that about! I know you aren’t a fan of the cold, but I am. Bring on the snow!
      Have a great week Nick!

  2. I’d go crazy without my weekends off. Glad you finally got one! It’s been in the mid to high 80s here and planning on getting in the pool today! Enjoying it while it lasts:)

    • Yes, I have been losing my mind without the weekend off. Its made me super cranky and less likely to suffer the fools at work! I am ready for COLD weather. Bring on the snow!!!
      Enjoy the pool!

  3. Glad to hear you had the whole weekend off, I can imagine 6 day work weeks can get tiring fast. Sorry to hear that training you had was such a waste of time. We’re having some nice fall weather, cooler temperatures, but not too much wind and rain, so lots of leaves are still on the trees and it looks so pretty!
That coloring book you got sounds interesting! I hope it’s a fun one. Have a great week!

  4. Enjoy your weekend off!! I remember how excited I was when I handed in my BA thesis and finally had an entire weekend off again haha. Sorry you’re not having any fall there yet! I’m sure it’ll come eventually. 🙂 Enjoy your books and have a great week!

  5. I think I need that colouring book as it has the NEARLY the same name as my blog! It’s meant to be 🙂 And I know what you mean about 6 day weeks. I’ll be doing that from mid Nov to Christmas and I’m already dreading it. Glad you are on wind down now. Enjoy your books!

  6. I will have to check out that new release, I See You. I am looking forward to another book by the same name releasing in April.
Unseasonably high temperatures are still hanging on here too. Sucks the mood out of the approaching holidays. It’s good that you got a day off. We all need that!

  7. I reviewed Nico for RT, and will be curious to see what you think. So many smexy romances in that pile! Enjoy them. Weekends off are nice. I work from home and unless I go away, never really get them. Have a good week my friend!

  8. Enjoy your weekend off! And yeah 80 sounds warm for November. We’re nowhere near that warm ha ha fall is definitely here in the Midwest. It cooled off this week…

Thanks for the GR blog link! Even though Halloween’s tomorrow I still want to check it out for some scary read ideas… 🙂

    • Yes, I enjoying my work free weekend!! Napping, snacking, reading! Hope you find some scary books to read (I can’t even watch scary tv so scary books are a no go as well!)
