Sunday Post

Welcome to this week’s Sunday Post. This feature is brought to you by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, so swing by after you are done here and get the full list of participants!

What I Reviewed:

What’s Coming Up:

  • Β  Defending Everly by Susan Stoker
  • Β  This is Love by Melissa Foster

This Week’s New Releases:

Open Giveaways:

What I Found Online:

The OSU Michigan game was Saturday. I’m not sure its even really a rivalry anymore. Seriously, OSU has killed them for over a decade now. The only thing that keeps it a “rivalry” is history.

This Week’s Book Haul:

Nothing! Can you believe it!?

Non-Bookish News:

Happy December! This is my favorite month because its my Birthday month and Christmas! My 40th birthday is tomorrow and I am off work. I have to go to the DMV and renew my license though. I got some new bookshelves for my birthday and I am excited about that. We have to do some rearranging before we can put them together though.

This is the first time ever (I think) my husband has been off on Black Friday and the following weekend. He has always worked in jobs that required his presence on Friday and Saturday after the holiday so having him home for 4 days in a row was cool. He did some shopping with a friend on Friday (cause he is crazy-I stayed home).

Did anyone else get Disney +? I have been binging Wizards of Waverly Place. I loved that show when it was on years ago. My husband is in Star Wars Heaven.

I have been pretty relaxed this week and not dealing with my anxiety since I was off work. Hopefully going back will be smooth and anxiety free (well, as free as can be for a teacher in the weeks leading up to Christmas break).

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you have an amazing birthday! I always take off on my birthday, but I understand your job doesn’t have that sort of flexibility. Boo! Your husband is brave going out of Black Friday. I remember watching Wizards with my daughter back in the day. That was a great show.

  2. HAPPY HAPPY BIrthday darling!!! I hope you have the BEST day ever. You deserve it, hope that man of yours treats you like the queen you are. Hope you had a great thanksgiving and Black Friday with your hubby.

The rivalry game was so weird, its still a rivalry though…..I think there will be a year soon Michigan will beat Ohio, they just not at the level Ohio is at yet…my team has the same issue in the Holy War rivalry we have here in Utah. We haven’t beaten our rivals in ten years but its still a rivalry hehe

Disney plus is AMAZING…I am in heaven with all the classic disney movies and star wars!!! Hope you have a great week.

  3. Yay for the 4 days off. I didn’t dare set foot in any store on Black Friday. All my shopping is done online after Thanksgiving. Except for the grocery store.

Nice to see you enjoyed Into the Dark! I rated it 4.5 stars too! Now I just have to write my review, lol. Have a great week, Samantha! πŸ™‚

  4. That’s nice your husband didn’t have to work. I always think it’s awful when people don’t get the long weekend.

I need to get Disney. I want to watch The Mandalorian. πŸ™‚

  5. I’m glad you managed to have four days off and were able to relax – yes… children tend to get very wound up in the weeks before Christmas! Have a lovely week, Samantha.

  6. Happy Birthday!! That’s awesome you have today off, and that your husband had four days off over the weekend with you. I’m curious about the book Would Like to Meet. πŸ™‚

  7. I’m really looking forward to A Madness of Sunshine! <3 Yay! New bookshelves! Boo! Rearranging! Haha. Happy birthday! My girl's just had their third birthday, so that's how we spent our weekend. Good luck at the DMV… make sure you take your birch certificate. They made a new rule and required it when I went recently. Just in case, right? I waited in line for over an hour, and then had to go home and come back. Ugh.
