  •   Ask Me If I Care by Lani Lynn Vale
  •   Temper by Chantal Fernando

ARCs thanks to the authors and publishers:

Y’all, I got a job for next school year! I had several interviews this week and got a few offers. I picked one and will be a 7th grade Language Arts and Social Studies co-teacher and teach a reading intervention bell. I love this for a couple reasons: one, its middle school and thats what I wanted, two its public school so the pay is better, and three, I get the best of both special ed worlds-inclusions support and pull out time! So, thanks for the prayers and good thoughts. I really appreciate it!

It’s also spring break this week, so I am pumped about that! I binged watched the newest season of 60 days in, then the final season on Criminal minds. I’m literally out of things to watch. I’ve also played a lot of Animal Crossing. What I haven’t done is read. I just can’t seem to focus. Maybe now that I’m not adding the stress of job hunting to the daily stress of a pandemic, I will be able to dive back into reading.

I hope everyone has a safe Easter! Stay home and stay safe!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. And you had your pick of offers!!! Congratulations! This is such a bright spot in this mess. I am ecstatic for you. Two subjects isn’t too bad either. Weren’t you doing all subjects before? I cannot wait to hear all about your new school next fall.

    • Two subjects is easy! Yes, I currently provide support in ALL already for 4 different grade levels. I’m very excited. Thanks for the support!!

  2. Yepeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Congrats Samantha! This is AMAZING! I know how you stressed the past months so I am so happy for you!

  3. Oh HUGE congratulations, Samantha! I knew you would land the kind of job you wanted – and this one sounds SO much better:)). I hope now you can relax a bit. Though obviously teaching right now is a major challenge… Take care and have a peaceful, heathly life.

  4. Yay! I’m so happy for you, Sam! I’m sure it’s a huge relief. Love the Stephen King thing! I’m totally out if a clown shows up, too!

    Enjoy your Easter! 🙂

  5. That’s fantastic. Congratulations on the new job. It’s great that it’s basically exactly what you wanted. And don’t worry about not reading, I know a lot of people haven’t been in the right frame of mind for it. I’m impressed with everything else you’ve managed to do to be honest. I feel like I’m one of the few people who hasn’t been playing Animal Crossing lately.
