Listen, the only things I found online this week were scholarly articles for my grad classes. If you want links to papers about oppositional defiant disorder, reactive attachment disorder, MTSS plans, or interventions for students with various disorders, I can hook you up. Otherwise, I got nothing.
Grad school is kicking my ass. There is just SO MUCH to do. But, I am enjoying the content so I feel even more confident that I am taking the right path for me.
We bought an above ground pool! I have wanted one for a LONG time and I finally got one! The hubby and I are working on getting the yard prepped and then putting the pool together, but it rained a bit this weekend and that slowed our progress for sure.
Thursday I went to my parents house and spent time with all my siblings, a cousin, and an uncle. It was nice! Sometimes I forget how little I have in common with my siblings though! We are all so different. It’s not a bad thing, but it just was really stark to me.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

Well I am glad our grad school is going well even though you are busy. Now is the time to develop those organization strategies for when you are teaching also. And to get some extra rest.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
It’s great that you are enjoying what you are learning. Hard work always feels worth it when the payoff is great. Good luck with it all (and the pool). Maybe you can float and read your assignments.
I need to check out the author social media post. A lot of the reason I won’t give up on Facebook is that I follow and get to connect with so many of my favorite authors on there, it is worth scrolling past the stuff that makes me mad. Hope you have a good week! Good luck with all the grad school stuff, I remember those days! Thanks for stopping by Lisa Loves Literature earlier!
Yay for the above ground pool! I kind of wish I had a pool to deal with the heat we’ve had. But instead I just try to stay inside in the AC as much as I can. lol. Hope you are getting through the grad work stuff. I remember those days! I think once in awhile about going back to finish my education specialist degree, but I think at this point I’d have to start all over as long as it has been since I was taking those classes. Have a great week!
I’m glad you’re enjoying the work! Having a lot of work is one thing, but having a lot of work that you hate doing is something completely different. Have a great week!
Congrats on the new pool. That is wonderful and perfect for all the coming hot days. There are so many books on the NEW RELEASE list that I would buy solely based on the cover. 🙂
I loved It Happened One Summer a lot! I hope you enjoy it if you read it! And oooh yay for a pool!
Can I go try your pool??? LOL And yey for the classes being interesting! You are so courageous.
Well, I did apply for an intervention teaching job, so maybe those articles would be helpful, but I think I’ll stick to fun reading for now ?
Yay for grad school and a pool! Hope you enjoy both!
Sorry to hear grad school is so rough, but at least you are enjoying it! Hooray for the pool! I hope you’re able to get it set up soon so you can enjoy it.
It’s been ages since I’ve checked in – sorry about that – but I’m glad to hear that you’ve started grad school and you’re enjoying it even if it’s tough! It’ll all be worth it in the end, I’m sure.
A pool sounds lovely! We’re being hit with a heat wave at the moment and I’d kill for a pool, lol.
