Calleigh had her surgery on Tuesday. They amputated the toe and said everything else looks great! We took her in to change her bandage on Thursday and everything looked good. We went again on Saturday-there is some inflammation, but overall nothing they are really concerned about. Going to the vet to to get bandage changes is now part of regular routine for the time being (every other day). I’m just thrilled with how well she is doing. She is getting around great and seems like her younger self! Please continue to send good vibes!
School is winding down, but I got several new requests for evaluations. I shut that down fast. We have 12 school days left. No evaluations can happen in that time. It’s insane. I have 5 more evaluation meetings in those 12 days (which isn’t much compared to when I would have 5 or more in a week). I’m done testing kids for the year, so just a few reports to finish and meetings.
It has been raining here so much. We can’t get Calleigh’s bandage wet at all, so we are having to wrap it with glad press and seal every time she goes out. And the rain isn’t stopping anytime soon.
The war with the rabbits continues but we have made progress! We got these deep fence sections that are much thicker metal than the wire fence we have. We put them in places where the wire fence was getting pulled up. It’s getting more secure! I will win this war damn it!
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

So glad to hear Calleigh is doing well and you are winning the rabbit war. Yay for only 12 days of school left!

We have had rain off and on. The last day or two has been all sunshine and getting like summer weather. But I hear we have rain/storms coming in tomorrow night. Glad Calleigh’s surgery went well and it seems like she’s feeling better! I’ve got 10 days left of school, or 9 and a half, but since we never know for sure how soon they’ll let us go that last day, I count it as a full day. Isn’t it crazy the things people try to add in to the last couple weeks of school! I hope you have a good week!
Your war with the rabbits reminds me of another bloggers skunk war. I hope you win! Poor Calleigh! Glad she is healing well. Good luck with the last few weeks of school.
I hope Calleigh heals quickly! Have a great week.
I am glad Calleigh is doing well! And you’ll soon be on holiday!
