School’s out for summer!! Woohoo! I’m free for 10 weeks and I am excited. I’m not doing anything, so I am planning on napping, reading, cleaning, and binging tv. It’s gonna be awesome.
The last week was stressful-there is a lot going on at the end of the school year. But, thankfully we got through it all and so did most of the kids. 1 ended up being taken to juvie, but everyone is alive, and thats the goal for the last week of school. I mean, the kid was released to his parents pending trial, so its fine. The end of the year is tough because there are always staff who are leaving, and our excellent speech path is one of those people. I’m very sad I won’t have her around next year! She is a sweetheart and the kids adore her. They cried on the last day because they will miss her!
The biggest news is we rescued a new dog! Her name is Luna and she is about a year old. We don’t know much about her except she came from an animal hoarding situation in Indiana. She seems to be getting along well with our pack. Hopefully that continues! She loves to play and run around the yard! Next stop is the vet so we can figure out what she needs.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

Yay for school’s out. It’s a good plan. The dogs will hate it when you have to go back to school. I love dogs but you have too many for me. So do we get pics? How old is she and what breeds? I’m really enjoying Hidden Nature, almost finished now.

Congratulations on surviving the school year. I suspect you will be busy this summer getting Luna situated but that should be fun.
Wow 10 weeks is exciting! Sounds like you will have a nice time off! Our kids are currently on school holidays for a week. The school year here (UK) is September to September.
Enjoy your books etc!
Have a great week!

You are right about people leaving school. We are losing a few that I am sad about. We lost a few last year too that I miss. New dog? yay! You need to share some pictures! I’m jealous of 10 weeks off. I will be back to work the last week of July, but hey, I’m glad for all the time off anyway.
