Only 2 more days with students and 1 teacher work day until summer break! Last week about broke me. It wasn’t really anything at school, it is just so BUSY! There are a million things going on at school (awards, field trips, family picnics) plus I had appointments and stuff after school every day. I am a hard core introvert, so that was just an overload of “people-ing”.
Calleigh got her stitches out and she is doing well! Sammy and Dean had vet appointments this week as well. They just had the routine check up and vaccinations. In the past 3 weeks, we have spent $3000 at the vet. When people ask what I’m doing this summer, I tell them I can’t afford to back the car out of the driveway. Honestly, I’m always psyched to have a summer at home doing nothing. It’s my favorite thing. COVID lockdowns were hard for so many people, but I was living my best life.
This week will be pretty chill actually (for me anyway). The 2 days with students are filled with field trips and cookouts, and I will be working on organizing files. Friday I have a hair appointment and then I need to drop off my broken hearing aid. Thankfully, it still works, but there is definitely something wrong. It is out of warranty and my audiologist can see some misaligned parts, so we have to send it back to Starkey (the manufacturer). Then on the 13th of June I go to pick it back up (hopefully fixed).
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!
Your summer reward is finally here! I hope it’s an enjoyable break. I also had no problem with lockdown. That’s my normal lifestyle. May all the dogs be in good health.
Wishing you a great summer. I’m half and half. I love my quiet time alone but also enjoy when I can travel and get out and about. So COVID lockdown style doesn’t bother me and we still adhere to it mostly but I like to get out sometimes.

You’ll be able to stay home soon!!! yes! And 3000 for the vet is a lot of money!
End of the shcool year is always hetic the kids are ready to be done. Last mintue field trips, games, tests etc. It can be quite a whirl wind but your almost there and can breath a bit more. Have a great week.
Yep, end of the year is so crazy! I’m glad to be done. But also since I had to be out for my dad’s funeral I will be back for a few days dealing with that stuff. So, I keep seeing the author’s doing the names with the book background, I love that you did your blog name. Now I need to know how to do that!
COVID lockdowns were pretty awesome for me too. I’m also a hardcore introvert with a job that’s made for extroverts. I hope you have an awesome summer!
Enjoy your well-deserved summer break. Ours start at the end of June. Have a great week!
