eARCs thanks to the authors and publishers:

Things are busy. I am tired. The usual. Honestly, nothing noteworthy happened. Same crap at work. Same excessive grad school work. It finally felt like fall on Saturday with a high of 55 degrees! I wore a sweatshirt on the walk with the dog to celebrate.

The most amazing assignment was posted in one of my classes this week. It simply says “read this article about self care. Pick a few and try them. Reflect.” There is nothing to turn in or submit for the entire week. Just a chance to catch up and breathe. I teared up a little when I saw it because it was just the nicest gesture from a professor.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

Your professor sounds like a good man! And yes-I’m so glad about cooler weather. I am so not a summer person. Take some time for your self if you can. It wore me out thinking how very busy you are.

  2. Aww, that’s a nice assignment. My teachers were never that nice. I’m still slightly traumatized by the middle school English teacher who yelled at me for asking for an extension on an assignment when I got sick and missed 2 days of school. Enjoy the fall weather! Have a great week.

  3. I’s great that your assignment is to practice some self care. I know you’re doing so much work lately that it’s probably appreciated to have that break. And I’m loving the autumn weather, the leaves have changed and the weather is getting cold. I may not love the dark mornings but I am loving the darker nights it just feels so much cosier.
