It was a busy week for me! I had so many evaluation meetings. One thing I am not crazy about is the way my boss rushes things along. I want to spend time talking with parents about their child’s information and what I uncovered during testing. I want to make sure they understand. I like to use visuals and charts and graphs. My boss wants me to get through it quickly and she will stop me and say something like “so what does this mean for eligibility” which is basically the last page of the report. It’s frustrating and it kind of makes me stumble a bit. I get thrown off my game. But, in the grand scheme of things, its all still better than teaching!

This weekend I am winterizing the pool and get it all closed up. It’s a nice weekend for it since its in the high 60’s. I can’t believe it is already October! These last 3 months of the year are my favorite. It gets colder, there are holidays, and it just all makes me happy. Some people get sad in the winter. I LOVE it. January and February are my next favorite months. I just love grey, dreary days.

I watched the new Hocus Pocus. It was cute and funny. Bette Midler looks so good for her age though! At 76, she is just gorgeous.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I’m so glad the work is better suited for you as you expected. Will your boss always be in these meetings or will that change once you are past the internship sort of year? Of course, you could work at a different school at some point also. I am loving the fall weather too. Sweatshirts! I can’t believe Thursday Sept 22 was 95 and now it’s in the 60s and 70s.
