Non-Bookish News:
I actually had to work all 5 days this week and it was rough! The kids struggled, the teachers struggled, everyone was sick…Ugh. It was rough! But, we survived!
I’m trying to find ways to cut back on our expenses. Money has gotten VERY tight (too much month at the end of the money!). I already keep the heat at 62 degrees, but I know our January bill will be high because it was so cold. We don’t have cable or a home phone, and we called to renegotiate our internet bill. Adulting is full of unfun things, but worrying about money is the top of that unfun list for sure! Also, I apparently have median nerve entrapment. My left hand thumb and 1st 3 fingers are pins and needles. No fun at all.
The weather was really warm the past few days. It was almost 60 on Friday and in the 50’s both Saturday and today. Monday its suppose to be 30. Oh, Ohio…you fickle state.
I hit 1000 followers on Instagram!! I am really enjoying IG lately. If you are on there, let me know! I would love to connect with more book bloggers. (all my social links are in the sidebar!)
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!
WOW, what a week! Love all the books and reviews. Have a great week of reading! I am currently reading Dead Lemon by Finn Bell and really enjoy it. In fact I have to get back to it!
Have a great week of reading!
Mary @StackingMyBookShelves!
I’ve been wanting to read the How To Date a Douchebag series. I put myself on a book buying ban though and my library doesn’t have them in. Ugh. As soon as I catch up on some of my books I will have to grab them.
Sorry the work week was bad and that money is so tight, especially since you’re already doing so much to try and save :-/ But congrats on 1000 followers! That’s amazing!
Ooh Fiona’s one! How cute. And I think everyone is sick everywhere! Man, some nasty stuff going around…
It’s been nice here too over the weekend and I know it’s going to suck this week when the temp plunges again lol. Ugh winter.
Sorry to hear about the nerve problem in your hand. ::(
Adulting does suck!! That’s why I watch cartoons all day, duh! And watch Baby Fiona videos ๐
Brooklynaire! Brooklynaire! Brooklynaire!! Read it now!! Or did you? I didn’t notice on GR. It IS awesome!! It’ll make you forget you can’t feel your fingers. Man that sucks… I’m so sorry ๐ Valentines is almost here.. YAY!!
Hang in there, girl. Spring (and rain) is almost here… hugs!
Adulting sucks tbh. Sorry about the hand but congrats on 1k! I want to start the How To Date a Douchebag series, it looks like the Nerd series?
Sorry to hear about your hand. I want Collision Point. Great haul.

My Sunday Post
Very nice book haul. Hope you enjoy. I totally agree on adulating. It’s no fun!
HOW?! How do you receive at least 5 ARCs every week, and still manages to not have enough time? HOW?!
Wow!!! Look at you go with all those followers on Instagram. I definitely need to do more on there for sure.
I can’t wait to see what you think about Moonlight Sins…I LOVED it so much.
And yeah its been a bit warmer here too, but I kinda wish we had more snow since it would make the summer more comfortable and less risk of fires.
But yeah there are times that I wish I could be a teen again and not have to worry about LIFE so much.
I like your title for your post. So true. And I agree, too munch month left after the money. Looks like yu have some good escape books though.
Baby Fiona is the cutest ever! She got so big in a year, but still sassy as ever.
Sorry about your troubles, hope things pick up for you. Our weather has also been warmer. But that’s actually normal for us around this time of year.
Hope you have a great week!
Fiona is so cute!!! And I am so jealous of everyone, who is reading Brooklynaire. *grabby hands* Adulting ain’t easy. I am sorry to hear about your hand. That’s terrible. I had to give up some of my favorite needle crafts because of my carpel tunnel and Finkelstein’s. I hope they are able to alleviate your discomfort. Wow! Congratulations on your 1000 Instagram followers. I was happy over here with being this close to 400 on Bloglovin, lol.
Awww! Happy birthday to the baby hippo!
I hate adulting! I always feel like there is too much month and not enough money all the time. I had to keep my kids home from school Friday because they were sick and I was sick and I didn’t want to get everyone else sick. I’ve been wanting to read Sabrina’s series, I think I own the first book or maybe the first two? I have How To Date a douchebag but I haven’t caught up yet. I’m not sure if I’m following you on instagram but I’m @asreadbytina on there!
Adulting can be tough at times, and hopefully things will look for you soon. So sorry to hear about your nerve pain, is there treatment for it? You had a busy review week. Hopefully you do not get the sickness that is going around your work, you don’t want to add that to your worries. Wishing you a better week.
Boo to a 5 day work week! ANd yes adulting does suck. Hope things get better on that front. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!
Adulting can definitely be very stressful, and dealing with money is on top of stuff that’s really no fun to do! I hope you’ll get things sorted out so you won’t feel like your budget is so tight as 2018 moves forward, Samantha.
It sounds like work was tough, too. It’s always hard when people are sick, and full weeks can be really tiring.
I hope this week will be a good one! Happy reading.
“Too Much Month after the Money….” I’ll have to remember that next time I get mad at adulting for being so not fun…. it made me smile ๐ Congrats on 1k Instagram followers. I keep thinking about trying it. ANd then I think about taking pretty book pictures in front of our fireplace… and then I picture the books catching on fire and decide to hold off on the new account…. I’m pretty accident prone! ๐ Hope you’re off to a great week, Samantha and that the kiddos at school are behaving!
Its something my mom always said and it rings true!
Only 3 days behind on commenting this week… not bad. LOL When it comes to bill and other responsibilities, adulting can kind of suck sometimes. I’m cringing at the thought of the heat being set at 62. We set ours at 68 during the night and 72 during the day… and we’re in Florida. LOL It’s apparent we’re not accustomed to being cold. Congrats on the Instagram milestone!! ๐
sorry to her about your nerve entrapment and being sick. There is a lot of flu going around our schools so everyone is sick too! Hope you feel better soon! BUt hey.. 1K followers on Instagram!! That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing about BABY fIONA SO ADORABLE!
