Top Ten Tuesday is brought to you by The Broke and The Bookish if you want to follow along!

This week’s topic: Authors that were new-to-me in 2015! So, here is my list, in no particular order 🙂

CL Stone:

I discovered her in early January, during the last few days of my Christmas break and I devoured all the books she had written at the time. Her books are unique and difficult to describe to people but I totally love them! Maybe its just the idea of a reverse harem? Maybe I just love all the boys? Who knows, but it totally works for me! (And so far, there has been nothing more than kissing and we are in book 9! Talk about the ultimate slow burn! 9 different guys and only kisses!)

Allie Juliette Mousseau:

I just discover Allie last week. I was offered an ARC of Defy for review. It sounded pretty good, so I thought I would give it a shot. I stayed up until 2 am finishing the book! Then, I went straight to Amazon and grabbed all her books. Her writing is all consuming-you simply cannot put the book down!

LH Cosway:

I stumbled upon Six of Hearts on a goodreads recommendation. I fell in love right away! Her writing is intelligent, unique, and engaging without falling into the usual traps of new adult/contemporary romance. Her characters are so relatable that I just wanted to crawl in the book and hang out with them. If you want funny, read the book she wrote with Penny Reid. Those two together wrote The Hooker and the Hermit and its hilarious! They are writing a second book together now and I am super excited!

Amy A. Bartol:

Another book I grabbed on a whim from a goodreads recommendation was Under Different Stars. It was on KU so it was risk free. I was so obsessed with this book I started stalking Amy online! When I read Under Different Stars, book 2 was just released so I could read books 1 and 2, but then had the horrible realization I had to wait for book 3! Amy quickly became the author I most wanted to meet in person. I still beg her to keep writing the series. I have begged the publisher as well. She hasn’t blocked me on FB…yet…

Alanea Alder:

The Bewitched and Bewildered series was brought to my attention by blog readers! I love PNR but I hadn’t heard of these books. However, so many people recommended them to me, I thought I would give it a try! These books are funny, action packed, and romantic and I was hooked right away. So, thank you, blog readers, for recommending it! Its a cool blend of lots of paranormal tropes: shifters of all kinds, mages, fae, and more! I like having all these supernaturals together because it keeps things super interesting. Alanea has created a really well thought out world that is awesome as well.

Kristen Callihan:

I love sports romance. I had fallen in love with Cora Carmack’s Rusk University series. So, like a good bookworm, I started stalking her online! That led me to the FB group, The Locker Room. There, I discovered Kristen’s book, The Hook Up. I enjoyed the hook up but I was in LOVE with The Friend Zone. Gray Gray… seriously…

Dannika Dark:

Ok, making this list has made me realize goodreads is largely responsible for my discovery of great authors! This was another goodreads recommendation. I love PNR (see comment above about Alanea Alder!) so when Seven Years popped up in my recommendations, I gave it a go. Best idea ever! I FLOVE this series (and I got an ARC of book 6.5, Charming, and it did NOT disappoint!).

RJ Prescott:

I snagged the Hurricane because it was about a boxer/MMA fighter and who doesn’t love a good MMA book? (Seriously, if you don’t love them, check out my recommendations because this is one of my favorite tropes in books!). The Hurricane was superb! The characters were some of the most endearing I have ever read. It was one of those books that sticks with you. FYI-book 2, The Aftermath, comes out SOON!

JB Salsbury:

Fighting for Flight was free on amazon for awhile. I grabbed it because, well, its free! So, it sat on my kindle for awhile. I picked it up on a whim, not really sure what to expect. Needless to say, it blew me away! So far, the series has not let me down. JB’s writing is the kind that sucks you in deep and you don’t realize how much time has passed while reading. You know, those books where you forget to eat? Yep, JB writes those books!

Emma Winters:

Emma has appeared on a few of my Top Ten Lists because Equal Parts was mind-blowingly good! This book was a darker twist on PNR and it was deliciously written. Emma Winters makes anti-heroes hot! I hope she continues writing, but so far, this is the only book she has written!

There is my list! Are any of these authors new to you? Take a chance on a new author today! (Click on the author’s name above to get more information and check out their books!)

PS-you can follow me on goodreads too! I love seeing what y’all are reading so I can add to my never ending TBR! The link is over in the sidebar on the right!

    • I am like the only person on the planet that hasn’t read a single Sarah J Maas book!! She is on my list. I snagged a court of thorns and roses when it was on sale!
