Everest Synopsis/Blurb

Six foot three. Dynamic green eyes. Utterly irresistible.

Ethan Everest stole my breath the first time I saw him. He romanced me with skill, dazzled me with his charisma, and proceeded to steal my heart right after.

I might have fallen for his easy-going smile the first time we met, but I fell for him the second time.

Honey-colored hair. Cherry-kissed lips. Captivatingly gorgeous.

Singer Davis was the first, and only, woman to ever intimidate me. She spoke to my heart with her wit, seduced me with her eyes, and became the only thing that made sense in a world that made none.

I let her slip through my fingers once. I won’t make that mistake twice.

Secrets broke us apart. Can a second chance bring us back together?

From New York Times Bestselling Author, S.L. Scott, comes a ROMANTIC SUSPENSE STANDALONE that will have you on the edge of your seat and swooning over this new ALPHA BILLIONAIRE.

Everest-the man I want to climb like the mountain! Ethan Everest skyrocketed to riches but didn’t watch his back. Betrayal hit him hard in the form of his best friend and his girlfriend. Now dealing with the fallout from their actions, Ethan takes refuge in New York and runs into an old interest…Singer.

He and Singer met once and Ethan was interested instantly. However, he let himself be swayed by others and now almost a year later, he sees Singer again. However, he is so closed off Singer can’t figure out what is going on with him! She is totally confused and unsure because one minute he seems really interested, then the next minute he is telling her he can’t be with her. But, Singer sticks with him and doesn’t give up! These two are so sweet. I wanted to force Ethan to be honest with Singer though. I understand his reticence but it was frustrating. He is really doubting himself and his choices in life. It made my heart hurt for him!

There is a dash of danger near the end. I wouldn’t call this a romantic suspense since the majority of the story is about the second chance romance and the characters’ struggles, but some pretty dramatic stuff happens in like the last 15% of the book that had tears streaming down my face for sure! I really liked all the secondary characters in the story as well, so I found myself really caring about their lives too.

If you like stories with deep feelings, a focus on characters, and interesting supporting characters, I think Everest will be a perfect pick!
