The first sexy, captivating, stand-alone novel in the brand-new FIGHT FOR ME series from NYT & USA Today Bestselling Author A.L. Jackson . . .

Rex Gunner. As bitter as he is beautiful.

The owner of the largest construction company in Gingham Lakes has been burned one too many times. His wife leaving him to raise their daughter was the last blow this single dad could take. The only woman he’ll let into his heart is his little girl.

Rynna Dayne. As vulnerable as she is tempting.

She ran from Gingham Lakes when she was seventeen. She swore to herself she would never return. Then her grandmother passed away and left her the deed to the diner that she once loved.

When Rex meets his new neighbor, he knows he’s in trouble.

She’s gorgeous and sweet and everything he can’t trust.

Until she becomes the one thing he can’t resist.

One kiss sends them tumbling toward ecstasy.

But in a town this size, pasts are bound to collide. Caught in a web of lies, betrayal, and disloyalty, Rex must make a choice.

Will he hide behind his walls or will he take the chance . . .

Show me the Way is a small town romance between 2 people with secrets and broken hearts! Rex and Rynna are both barely holding themselves together and not prepared to let anyone into their lives. Rex is raising his daughter by himself. Rynna has returned to her small hometown after her Gramma’s death to take over her restaurant. Rynna fled the town 11 years before after a traumatic event and hadn’t been back until now. When the story starts, you only know that something happened, but you don’t know what, so you spend so much time wondering what on earth could have happened! And you know Rex is a single dad, but again, you don’t know why right away so you are trying to guess. But, Rex is not friendly at all. I wanted to throat punch him for being so mean to Rynna.

Frankie, Rex’s daughter, is delightful!! Precocious and charming she brings some balance to Rex’s asshole persona. As the story progresses it becomes deeper than I imagined. Its not often a book has a twist that actually surprises me, but this one totally did! Jackson layers the story slowly, giving you glimpses into what events have molded these two into the people they are now. Each glimpse gives you some insight but still keeps you wondering what in the world happened!

One thing you can always count on in Jackson’s books are dynamic and deep characters. Her stories are always character driven and she really brings so many emotions! Show Me the Way is no different and it will have you glued to your kindle. Before you even realize it has happened, you are too invested in these 2 to walk away from the story or to even put the book down for things like food or work (ok, so I didn’t miss a meal, but I took my kindle to the kitchen while I microwaved, but I did stay up way past my bedtime and was NOT at all prepared for work the next day…). I am thrilled this is a planned series because I cannot wait to see what Jackson has in store for us!
