I have only recently begun to get books from my local library. I used to spend hours at the library in the summer as a kid, but as an adult, not so much. And then when e-readers came along and I could have a book with a simple 1-click…well, yeah, the library was just a hassle. But, now my local library has great ebooks and audiobooks! So, when I saw that Angel’s Guilty Pleasures blog was hosting a Library Love Challenge, I jumped on it!
Join us! No blog required! You can use goodreads as your place to review!
The Info:
Runs: January 1, 2017 – December 31, 2017. You can join any time.
♡ Put a sign up post on your blog or (dedicate a Goodreads shelf or LibraryThing) and link it below. Make sure it’s public.
♡ The goal is to read at least twelve (12) books from the library, but you can read more. While twelve is the minimum, there is no maximum limit. See the different levels below and pick the one that works best for you.
♡ Any format will work for this challenge (print, ebook, or audio); as long as you checked it out from the library, it counts.
♡ Books can be any genre (fiction, nonfiction, romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, horror, etc.).
♡ Crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed, including re-reads. The goal is to support your local library and save money.
♡ Write a review – 2 sentences or an essay, whatever works for you, but there is a minimum of 2 sentences. Not sure what to write? How about something like, “The plot was a delight, but the characters didn’t capture me.”
Levels:
- Dewey Decimal: read 12 books
- Thrifty Reader: read 24 books
- Overdrive Junkie: read 36 books
- Library Card on Fire: read 50+ books
My Goal:
Initially I thought I would shoot for the minimum of 12. But, thats only 1 book a month from the library. And frankly, with my audiobook obsession, I typically do more than 1 a month. So, I am going for the Thrifty Reader! Basically, thats only 2 books a month from the library. I think I can totally do this. I am thinking about canceling my Audible membership to save money, so this challenge comes at a perfect time!
Once you decide to join, just make a ‘sign up’ post on your blog or goodreads stating your plan, then add your link to the linky on Angela’s page!
Tell me: How many books do you typically read from your library each year? Do you get audiobooks, digital books, or print books?

oh I am such a library lover!!!! Many of the books I read come from the library whether physical and e or audio. So I definitely think I need to sign up for this challenge.
Thank you for sharing the Library Love Challenge and joining. It’s going to be a fun challenge.
As for books I didn’t use the library like I wanted to in 2016. The one-click sale deals got me this year, but with this challenge I’m planning to set my card on fire. ^_^
