When the perfect staffing storm hits Jane Rochester’s temp agency, she winds up being Lincoln Chandler’s assistant for a week. Jane doesn’t do office romance, and her last relationship was one-sided. But one hot kiss from Lincoln changes everything. Now she has to decide if it’s love at first sight or just a fiery physical attraction.

Lincoln Chandler’s been focused on building his real estate development firm into a Fortune 500 company. He wasn’t looking for a relationship—particularly when his last girlfriend married Lincoln’s biggest competitor and took proprietary information with her in the bargain. But Jane Rochester is an undeniable force of nature, and the heat between them might be more than just a few hot nights in the bedroom.

Tempting Jane is a good read if you like the office romance trope. Well written and light, it was a fun read that didn’t require much thought. This is a book you just read to enjoy! It is a bit predictable, but again, that just meant I didn’t have to worry about what might happen. Sometimes, there is comfort in this type of read for sure! Both characters (Jane and Lincoln) are likable and entertaining!

PS: The heroine’s name is Jane Rochester! I loved it! (Do you get the reference?)

Some men aren't meant to be tamed. Especially if they're Grizzlies Gone Wild.

YOU CAN'T KEEP A GOOD BEAR DOWN

Alyssa Nelson doesn't actually believe that Simon Gold is a shape-shifting grizzly bear---until she sees it firsthand. Aaaaand the award for Totally Surprising Changes goes to Simon Gold. But Alyssa doesn't have time to deal with the fact that her ruggedly hot, long-time secret crush is a shifter . . . not when her brother has turned into one, too.

After ten months in bear form, Simon is struggling. He's not ready to deal with anyone, let alone the bold and gorgeous Alyssa. Mine, whispers his bear. But all hell has broken loose in the Detroit shifter community, and it's spreading to humans. Now Simon must face the darkest place of all: where bear and man become one. And the only way he can make it back to his humanity is by finding---and claiming---his mate.

Alpha Unleashed started off odd for me. He had been in bear form for 10 months?! Dude, WTH? But, the story then becomes more of a brother’s friend love story, so if you like that trope, this would probably interest you. There is a bit of mystery as to what is happening to her brother, which was interesting. Overall, the story has a mix of danger and intrigue, but it blended well with the campy-ness of the characters. Also, y’all know I love me a fated mates story! Its my jam!

  1. I love both of these authors so much, although I have gotten behind on Lyon’s PNR series, *shame * but need to catch up since I like her writing.

I adore Monica Burns, but I have only read her time travel and HR books. But I definitely love the sound of this CR and that it was light and funny.

    Lovely reviews.
