I’ve been bounced from foster home to foster home since I was seven, now I’m eighteen and I’m free. I am determined to make something of myself, to prove to everyone that they were wrong about me. I finally have my life together, until he comes into my life and turns everything upside down. Carter James has to power to piece together all the broken parts of me, or completely shatter them beyond repair.

I have never really been into the relationship thing. It’s not that I avoid them but I definitely don’t want one, then she came into my life. Madison Stevens is everything that I never thought was possible. She is the absolute vision of perfection, except that she is the one girl who can utterly destroy me.

What can you do when the one person you can’t have is the only one you want?

I really liked Maddy and Carter. Carter is one of those almost-too-good-to-be-true BBF’s and I love that!!! Lots of books have gone more for the dirty talking alpha who is domineering and such but Alexis Noelle goes a different route and I really love it! Carter’s friends were awesome too and I can’t wait to get to know them a bit better. And Maddy’s roommate Nicole is amazing! I hope she gets her happy ending too! She is so sweet!

The end was a bit rushed. The whole book is leading up to this inevitable confrontation and it just sort of happened and then was over and so was the book! I would have liked to have a little more time spent on the event and the aftermath.

Alexis Noelle lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her husband, and three kids. On top a writing career, she is a full-time student and a full-time mom. She loves spending time with her kids, although she has to hide the computer from them when she is writing! She love being active and being outdoors, especially if it involves any kind of shopping.

She has always been passionate about writing. She loves to read romance books and feels like being able to lose yourself in a book is one of the more exciting aspects. The books she loves to read and write will be ones that make you feel for the characters. Ashley believes that you should have an opinion on every character in a book whether you love them, hate them, or think they are up to something.

She also believes that the most important critic is your reader, so she loves to hear from the readers. She want her fans to be open & talk to her about what they want for the characters in the story, and what they would like to see happen.
