*~* STANDALONE NOVEL *~*
An assassin . . . that’s what I am.I’m Wade Chandler by day and a killer at night. I get the job done no matter the cost. Not only do I hunt people for the FBI, but I’m also the owner of Chandler Enterprises, one of the top companies in the southeast. When Brina Carmichael – daughter of the former president – wants my business advice, it’s hard to resist her long legs and seductive smile. One thing leads to another and now I’m in too deep.I can’t let her know what I am, but I’ve never wanted a woman the way I want her. However, harboring secrets comes at a price and I have a feeling she’s keeping some of her own. Especially, when my next mission leads me straight to her. Turns out she’s not who I thought she was.

Target is book 2 in the Circle of Justice series that gives us the stories of a team of government assassins. You can read this as a stand alone; you meet Wade briefly in book 1 but its not necessary to have read Trigger to understand Target.

Our heroine, Brina, was the daughter of a president as a teen. Her father was assassinated in front of her and her life changed forever. Now, as an adult, she owns a small shop where she designs swim suits and surf boards. But, the shop isn’t really profitable and her mother encourages her to seek out an old family friend, Wade Chandler, for help.

Like the first book in the series, I did find this a bit predictable. However, the story moves along at a fast clip and I was entertained! There isn’t ever a ‘good’ stopping point because there is a lot going on. Its more than just one main climatic point with 1 antagonist which I appreciated. Brina is a likable character because she is smart and tough and not at all a spoiled former first daughter. Wade was a bit of a tougher character for me though. There wasn’t anything specific I disliked, but I never really connected with him.

If you like romantic suspense with lots of action and multi faceted plot lines, Target is a great pick! There are so many interesting supporting characters in the Chandler brothers as well as Brina’s family that you never get bored. I will mention that you really have to suspend reality here. There were a few times even I was rolling my eyes with incredulity and I am pretty open overall.
