ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream.
Her passion for writing didn’t start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain and The Love Series was born.

Have tissues ready for From the Wreckage. This book is super emotional due to the context and events in the book (9/11). My emotions really went through the wringer with this book! This are bad for David and Grace, things are good, then things are bad again. Its a rollercoaster for sure. I don’t know that I was really emotionally ready for this ride and I think that is why I gave it 3.5 stars. From The Wreckage is beautifully written and the characters are well developed. You will swoon and fall in love for sure. Just be ready for the tears, too!
A Lover’s Lament by BT Urrela and KT Grayson, Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan, Kaleidoscope Hearts by Clare Contreras…then you will probably enjoy From The Wreckage!
Beautifully written and awesome characters?! THAT IS SO COOL! 😀 I’m glad you liked this one, even with all the emotions. 9/11 books are hard though. D: the only one I’ve read is Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and I was definitely tearing up. :'(
Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!
Thanks for stopping by! Yes, 9/11 books are TOUGH and I am not usually a person who likes to read sad books so this was extra difficult! Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close was pretty intense too!
