I’ve always been a good girl. I work hard, I follow the rules, and I always achieve my goals.
But sometimes good girls want things that aren’t good for them. Or someone who isn’t good for them. Like their new boss.
And sometimes they do very bad things to get his attention. Like sell their virginity in an auction.
Who knew he’d be so very, very mad?Maybe this was not my best laid plan…
Oh, Good Girl was such a delight for me! First, y’all know I am a sucker for the virgin heroines. I can’t help it! Lydia is sweet-she was a girl trooper who went to college and studied to be a human resource person because she liked to help people. But, what I really liked about her was that she WANTED to lose her virginity! She wasn’t waiting for marriage or her knight in shining armor. She just never really had the opportunity. I think that scenario is so realistic!
What I didn’t like about Lydia was how insanely naive she was. It is adorably awkward at times, but other times its just unbelievable and over the top. But, the good, adorkable things about Lydia won me over for sure. Rhys is a total moron and is so sure she is up to something devious he can’t see the plain truth. I wanted to bang his head into something! But, he does grovel well.
I read a romance once about a virgin auction and it ended in a happily-ever-after. But I keep that to myself because its too crazy town to say out loud, even to Payton.
Overall, this was a fun read! If you like Pretty Woman, but wondered what it would be like if she weren’t a REAL hooker, Good Girl is a delightful read! If you are goal oriented and want a badge for reading, you will find Good Girl to be right up your alley 🙂 (this quote below is a conversation between Lydia and her BFF regarding making badges for Lydia to earn in her sexual adventure with Rhys!)
“Do you think this is a bit dysfunctional? ”
“No, I think this is adulting done right.”
I do like having goals, so I decide she must be correct.

The Allure of Julian LeFrey by RS Grey, Wasted Words by Staci Hart, Pucked by Helena Hunting…then you will probably like Good Girl!

I love how realistic this sounds! Woman should be allowed to explore their sexuality without being condemned for it. Men can “play the field,” but woman are expected to save themselves for marriage. It’s ridiculous. Woman should be allowed to lose their virginity and have sex without the world ending, and I like that this book shows that.

I’m so glad you enjoyed this one! I am not usually a fan of virgin heroines, but Aston made me change my mind. I loved Lydia 🙂 Great review, Samantha!
