Leo Markham has everything a man could want. Money. Power. Respect. But there's only one thing he needs—Bria. The trouble is, she's determined to move on, despite the breathtaking passion still between them. Sure, he's made mistakes, but he'll make her forgive him. He has to.
Shocked to find herself facing her devastatingly gorgeous ex as opposing counsel in the courtroom, Bria knows she can't let Leo hurt her again. He's the only man she'll ever love, but he wasn’t there when she needed him most. She's just going to have to learn to resist the pull of his lethal magnetism.
Leo is determined to win Bria back no matter what it takes. He isn’t about to lose the only woman who’s ever had his heart.

what i think

Oh Sleeping with the Opposition was more heartbreaking than I expected!! There were some teary eyed moments for sure. Leo and Bria are married; well, now they are separated and heading toward divorce. Their relationship could be yours! It was so normal and their struggles were real. However, unlike most separated couples, these two had to face each other in court. For a divorce case none the less…Oh the irony!

You can totally understand both sides of this relationship and that made it even more heartbreaking! I have never wanted an HEA for a couple so much. I agreed with Bria and with Leo and it just made me want to shake them. I wasn’t expecting so much angst from this book. Nothing in the synopsis mentioned they were married so that really made things more angsty than just an ex, you know? This was not a light read but it is fairly short. And Leo is a great hero-he fights for Bria throughout the story which I think is super hot. I also enjoyed the fact that these were more mature characters (not college age or anything). It was a nice change of pace for me.

  1. I read many articles about infertility being one of the main reasons couple divorce. So I can see why this book is heartbreaking 🙁 Glad you enjoy it Sam!

  2. Aww that is sad. 🙁
I haven’t read a romance book about a couple on their way to divorce but it should be interesting. I’ll have to add it to my TBR.
    Wonderful review! 🙂

    • Yes, this one was a bit sad. And the aspect of infertility was difficult for me to read as well since I struggle with that too. But, if you want a book that is a bit heavy on real life yet still a bit humorous at times, its a great pick!
