Lets Talk Book Boyfriends Baby: Top Ten Tuesday

Posted January 26, 2016 in Top 10 Tags:

Its another episode of Top Ten Tuesday, organized by The Broke and The Bookish! This week’s theme was a freebie so I decided to tackle BBF’s! Here is my list of Book Boyfriends that will forever hold my heart!

book boyfriend collageTrent from The Strongest Steel by Scarlett Cole
Colton from The Consequences of Loving Colton by Rachel Van Dyken
Rory from Breaking a Legend by Sarah Robinson
Romeo from The Hashtag Series by Cambria Hebert
Mateo from All Played Out by Cora Carmack
Cormac O’Connell ‘Con’ from The Hurricane by RJ Prescott
Mason from the Fallen Crest Series by Tijan
Gray Grayson from The Friend Zone by Kristin Callihan
Brent Mason from Appealed by Emma Chase
Jay from Six of Hearts by LH Cosway

Okay, I HAVE to stop at 10 because I could go on forever! So, what makes these book boyfriends the top of the list for me? Here are a few things I love to see in a book boyfriend:

  1. Not afraid to admit he is head over heels for the girl!
  2. Alpha without being an asshole!
  3. Strong sense of honor
  4. Understands and works with the girls hang ups, issues, etc!
  5. Proves his love

Number 5 is probably the most important book boyfriend trait for me. I love a man who doesn’t just say “I Love You” but proves it in both big and small actions. Looking at my list, I realize this is the trait every one of them has in common! Trent is so patient with Harper and provides support throughout the book, Mateo helps Nell become the person she wants to be, Gray is willing to be a friend and build that relationship, and Jay…Oh Jay! The entire book is his way of showing his love and she doesn’t even know it until the end. These book boyfriends aren’t wishy-washy, they don’t downplay their affections, and they aren’t shady! Now that I have made this list I want to go reread all these books!

  1. I LOVE what you did with this post! Grey and Brent are top book boyfriend material for me as well, so I’m really glad to see them on your list. And yess to all your reasons. ESPECIALLY number 5! I desperately need to meet the rest of these boys.
    Great post!

    • Thanks! I am super duper in love with these boys! Brent was a recent add-I cannot stop raving about Appealed!! Oh my gosh I highlighted so many quotes from that book my clippings on my kindle is now book length! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Jen

I love book boyfriends who prove their love also! It’s sigh inducing. I was planning on reading Fallen Crest High in the next few months, since I have it on my Kindle, and now I’m even more excited to meet Mason! YAY!

  3. Heathcliff from Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights is my book boyfriend, even though he would make an awful BF in real life lol! What girl wouldn’t want a bad boy like him?!

    • Oh the original bad boy! I think most of the bad boys from books would make terrible real life boyfriends though! Thats why books end when they do-if they went on to real life issues, it wouldn’t be a romance any more! Haha!

  4. ohhhh book boyfriends are fun, aren’t they? 🙂 Mine are James from “Five Days in Skye” by Carla Laureano and Ty from “Meant to be Mine” by Becky Wade. My TTT
