Question: What made you want to become a writer?
Answer: I started working as a newspaper journalist at age 16 in Puerto Rico. I studied Broadcast Journalism at Loyola University in New Orleans. I did radio, television, and wrote for local publications in the Big Easy. The next logical step was to write a book to tie in my love for research, writing and romance.
Question: Tell us about Mediterranean Sunset!
Answer: Mediterranean Sunset begins in Washington D.C. and follows the story of an Ambassador’s daughter who is forced into an arranged marriage. Most of the story then shifts to the Middle East and her life with a ruthless military man. The book intertwines the Arabic customs and Muslim beliefs with suspense elements within the love story. This book will take you through a culinary and cultural journey while entertaining.
Question: Who are your author heroes (favorite authors) or who would you love to cowrite with?
Answer: Gillian Flynn, Dan Brown, and Danielle Steel are my favorite writers.
Question: What is your all-time favorite book?
Answer: Gone Girl and The Promise.
Question: What is coming up in the future from you that we should be looking out for?
Answer: The second book in the Mediterranean Sunset trilogy, and a cookbook with Caribbean, Middle Eastern and New Orleans cuisines.
