Ally doesn't want to have anything to do with werewolves. Kade is a werewolf who wants to do everything to Ally.
Just because Ally Rose can turn into a wolf, doesn't mean that she's happy about her status as a shape-shifting, occasionally howling, never-butt-sniffing werewolf. As a result, she has only two rules in life: 1) avoid werewolf packs at all costs and 2) stay the hell away from the man who turned her against her will. Packs are evil…violent…deadly… And the wolf who turned her is the worst of the worst.
Just because Kade Blackwood is the Alpha’s brother, doesn’t mean he can ignore a direct order — even when it’s something as mundane as packing up an old woman’s belongings and hauling them back to the pack house in Ashwood. But all of his good intentions fly out of the window the moment he steps foot in tiny Pepper, Georgia…and smells her. His mate.
He wants her. Craves her. Aches for her. But first he has to find her…before the wolf hunting Ally gets his paws on her.
Part of the "REAL MEN SHIFT" series: 1. Real Men Howl 2. Real Men Snarl 3. Real Men Growl - Coming August 2018
Real Men Snarl provides a fated mates tale with a unique heroine. Ally had 1 previous boyfriend and he pretty much ruined her life. Without her permission, he turned her into a werewolf. Once he realized she wasn’t his mate after all, he tortured her. She managed to escape and spends the next several years on the run-no pack, no real understanding of werewolves, and no one to turn to. Then Kade shows up and everything changes.
Ally doesn’t know anything about fated mates (or even packs and wolves to be honest) so to say she is leery of Kade is a huge understatement. However, he knows her BFF so she is willing to take a chance. She can feel the desire between them, but her previous experience with werewolves was so horrific she feels she can’t trust anyone. Kade is patient with her and I loved that about him. He can recognize the fear and confusion so he doesn’t push. His love is simply there. He is willing to wait and do what is necessary to show her that her previous experience isn’t the reality of wolf packs. The danger comes from Ally’s ex, who isn’t as willing to let her go.
Real Men Snarl is pretty short so its perfect if you want a quick fated mates story! Ally’s inner turmoil will keep you interested because you will want to know what the heck happened to her to make her so terrified! The supporting characters also bring depth to a fairly short story and I appreciated that. The characters are dynamic and developed despite the brevity. Finally, Kendall Taylor is one of my favorite female narrators so I highly recommend the audio!

Fantastic review. I saw this book on my Amazon suggestions and was wondering if I should give it a go. Now that I have seen this review I think I will.
This sounds rough. It is a little bit like the beginning of Kitty and the Midnight Hour who had trouble with her first pack, also Anna in the Alpha & Omega series by Patricia Briggs. They are both very different stories but the problematic first pack makes me cringe. Anne – Books of My Heart
