In Legal Wolf's Mate, taking on a pro bono murder case isn't a problem for a lawyer who enjoys a challenge. Discovering that his new client is his mate? A tad more complicated. Gavin has no intention of settling down, especially not with a woman accused of murder, but once he sets eyes on Megan, his fate is sealed.

Legal Wolf’s Mate is a novella that originally appeared in the Growl anthology. The hero, Gavin, is a defense attorney who was turned into a wolf against his will. Megan is a secretary who is framed for murder. Oh, and as soon as Gavin lays eyes on her, he realizes she is his mate.

I enjoyed the story-a bit of a murder mystery wrapped in the romance. Because this is only novella length, you don’t get a great deal of character development and that made the story a bit less enjoyable for me. I would love to know more about Gavin’s life before he was turned. And Megan’s family is hilarious so I would love to have had more involvement from them! But, putting that aside, Legal Wolf’s Mate was an enjoyable fated mates story! Gavin and Megan were likable, and Megan has a secret that I really didn’t expect.

If you want a quick read with murder, growling, and claiming, Legal Wolf’s Mate is a great choice!
