This Week’s Book Haul:
I also went on a buying binge since I will have a 10 hr plane ride (and I am the only female chaperone so I know I will need entertainment!). I *might* have gone overboard.
Non-Bookish News:
Eek!! I leave for Italy on Wednesday! Â I can’t believe its already here. I have spent the weekend packing, getting my phone set up for international usage, making sure I had copies of my passport, etc. The last time I left the country I was 18 and I only went to the Caribbean! Going to Europe is a pretty big deal for me. Please stop by during the week while I am gone! I promise to get back to commenting and visiting whenever I can (the hotel does have wifi!)
I have had my iPhone 5c for 2 years now. It is only a 16 gb. Last week I tried to take a picture and I couldn’t because my phone is full. Apps now take up way more space than they used to, so even deleting all my pictures, not storing any music or books on my phone, and streaming everything I still have NO space. So, Friday my husband got me an iPhone 7 with 128 gb of space. Yay!!! I can take pictures in Italy! I can download audiobooks (multiple audiobooks!) and music! Its a whole new world! (now the song is stuck in your head, right?!)
It is finally cooling off here. When I get back from Europe it will be October! Its suppose to be in the 70’s all this week. I am so over summer and this crazy heat. I just am not a warm weather person unless the beach is involved. And even then, I don’t wanna stay for long. Give me snow any day!
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

I just had that conversation about the apps. It’s so frustrating they are making them so big and impossible to have any good ones on your phone with pictures. Your husband is awesome! I hope you enjoy your new phone and 128 is an awesome amount.
I hope you have a great time in Italy. I have family there and hope one day to visit. I hear it is very nice and just a gorgeous place to visit.
I hope you have a great week, Samantha! Happy Reading and Enjoy your trip!
Yes, the apps and the OS take up SO much space now! Thankfully, my husband does rock 🙂
I am super excited about Italy. I have always wanted to go so this is a dream trip!
Aw, have fun!! I’m so jealous LOL
It seems like phones get larger with each new release, which Is good. I have a 64gb Iphone6 and don’t even come close to using all that LOL
Anyway, have a great trip!
Yes, I never worried about space on my phone until I realized how much space just the OS and apps take up. Then I have no room for anything else. I was having to stream audiobooks and that was killer on my data! So, 128 should be more than enough. for now 😉
Thanks for stopping by!
Oh my I hope you have an amazing trip. Italy is amazing. Hope you share pictures whe you get back!
I am sure I will have TONS of pictures!
*squeals* You got WSC and The Goal! I need to know your thoughts as soon as you read both books. I’m hoping I get the iPhone 7 of 32 GB. I wouldn’t go for it but the storage space is needed haha and the specs are better, too.
Have fun in Italy! You should buy Roman Crazy, read it on the plane, write down all the food you need to eat and places to visit!
Yes, I saw WSC on net galley and grabbed it because everyone raved about it so much!!! I couldn’t pass it up. The storage space is totally needed! 16 gb just isn’t enough any more with the size of the OS and apps. I’m still trying to adjust to the touch ID. All my devices are so old they don’t have it!
Yes, I am so glad Roman Crazy is out and I can read it while I am in Rome!!
We got a few of the same books! I got Dark Corners, The Goal, and A Fool For You. You got a lot of really good ones this week! New follower Goodreads. =)
And Bloglovin! lol
Yay!!! Thanks for following!
I use android phone so unsure.. can’t you add more memory? I have a memory card. Have a blast in Italy and enjoy all those new books!
No memory card on iPhone. You can save stuff to the cloud, but then you have to stream it, which uses your data if you aren’t hooked into wifi. So, bigger phone was needed! And frankly, deserved. My husband gets a new one every year!
Have fun in Italy! And yay for the new phone. Good timing- I think taking pictures of a European trip would be so fun. And I’m ready for fall too- I miss the longer days but I’m kinda over the heat.
Yes, the heat can just go away. I will take the shorter days as a trade!
Lover Unbound! I think a BDB re-read is in order soon, I miss the brothers so much. BAE was so freaking good, bittersweet – now I want a book about Drew and Trent! I’m so jealous that you got The Goal, I need that book yesterday! Have fun in Italy!!! 😀
Lover Unbound was a my least favorite so far (not a fan of the ending). Bae was amazing just as I expected!! I can’t wait to dive into the goal!!!!
I can’t wait to see pictures from your trip to Italy! How exciting! Also, getting the iphone7 that’s cool! I think you might have gone overboard on books, but it is probably better to have more in case you don’t like something and don’t fell like reading it. I almost hope you have too much fun to read there. Have a great week!
Yes, I would rather have too many books than not enough!!!
I just recently had to get a new phone too. My old one wouldn’t let me do anything but make calls anymore, even after deleting almost everything on it. I love my new one. And I must say, those are some yummy looking books. LOL
Yes, my old phone was temperamental at best and didn’t like to make calls at all! Really, it didn’t like to do much of anything! Thanks for stopping by!
Sounds like you’re having a great time with going to Italy and getting a new phone. I got a new phone just a few weeks back and I know how much fun that can be. Plus it allows me to do so much more than my old phone. Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic week!
What a wonderful book haul!! Happy reading!
I hope you have a fabulous time in Italy – it sounds like such an exciting trip! And yay for your husband for getting you the new iPhone. Sounds like perfect timing!
Great haul! Looks like you have enough to keep your busy during the plane ride! I hope you’ll have an amazing time in Italy. I live in Europe and I’ve never been outside of that, so i can imagine what a big deal it is to travel that far! That’s neat you got a new phone! It’s a shame those apps take up so much space nowadays, but at least with the new phone you have enough space for everything. It’s finally cooling down a bit here too, yay! Have a great week!
