This was my last full week of summer break. I spent my time binging The Good Doctor and playing Disney Dreamlight Valley. It was enjoyable! My husband and I enjoyed our time at the zoo last weekend. We decided to get a membership.
Yesterday, Ranger (our shepherd mix) had his grooming appointment. He loves it! We have to get a professional because he has so much fur. It gets really long between the pads of his feet and he slides all over the place. Plus, he sheds so much. So, Sidney (the groomer) gives him a good brush, a trim, and a bath! But, that meant we couldn’t go to the zoo on Saturday and will go today.
Next week I only have to physically go to work for 1 full day. I work for the county educational services center (ESC) and not directly for the school. For positions like mine or speech paths, OT, PT, or other related service providers, schools struggle to hire directly because they often need part time. So, they contract with the ESC who hires people full time and places them in multiple schools when necessary. Thankfully, my position at the school is full time so I don’t have to go to 2 or more places. Anyway, working for the ESC means we have to have a convocation day for our actual employer. Since every district has a slightly different start day, it is typically the week before most people have to report. Its a pretty low key day-guest speaker, a few afternoon sessions of our choice, and a meeting with our supervisors to review any new policy or general information. Then I officially go back to work at the school on the 10th. I have friends who started their in service days this week and kids report next week. That is crazy!
So, that was my week! Pretty chill. This week I need to get back to my routine, especially my sleep routine. I cannot be going to bed at 11 when I have to get up at 5. I also need to find all my bras and normal clothes, since this summer has been all about comfy clothes.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

Sounds like you made the most of your last week of break. It’s awesome that your dog enjoys the groomer. Makes it easier to get it done.
I am glad that you have been enjoying your last week there. And I have heard those cozy games are really fun and relaxing to play. Hope you get to some good books this week.
So glad you ae enjoying this last break for summer. I’m really impressed how you figured out what job would work for you, added schooling for it and have done so well. I hope this year goes smoothly.
