Non-Bookish News:

It was Catholic schools week so every day was some sort of crazy! Awards, assemblies, and more all to celebrate the awesomeness of Catholic schools! Its great, but man it makes it difficult to keep kids focused sometimes when they are all hyped up from an assembly. On Thursday, 112 students donated hair to a charity that makes wigs for children or had their head shaved for St. Baldricks. I love that the students in my school are so giving. During the assembly one student asked to shave our assistant principals beard. He challenge the student to donate $20 and he would let him. The kids all pulled together an in about 4 minutes they had collected $63. It was awesome.

Everyone at work is sick-teachers and kids! Its crazy. I am going to start wearing a mask and carrying lysol.

Today is my mom’s birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!  In case you didn’t know, my mom (and her mom) is the reason I love reading! Mom reads romance too, but she doesn’t love PNR like I do (thats okay, I forgive her!). She even reads my blog (hence why I will sometimes say “NOT FOR MY MOM” because I know her)! I’m lucky to have my mom because not only did she make me love reading, she is the most level headed person I know and she has totally slayed adulting! Whenever I need support or guidance, she is the queen of good advice! She should start one of those advice columns. Love you mom!

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Oh! Lucky you for getting a copy of Hello Stranger! I love the Ravenels and I can’t wait to read the newest! Thanks for letting me know The Clover Chapel is a freebie. I enjoyed The Outpost, so I’d like to try another one of her stories. Have a great week, Samantha! 🙂

  2. I am getting a little misty reading about your mom. I hope she had a wonderful birthday! I saw your instagram picture of the event. That is wonderful that so many kids were willing to donate hair. It warmed my heart. Oh, and YES! Reed is coming out!!! I can never get enough of the Cold Fury men.

  3. Today is Super Bowl Day, so I’m spending the afternoon/evening watching the game with family. This week was nice. Our weather finally warmed up to 70, so I’ve been playing in the garden and working outside. Have a great week and happy reading!

  4. ugh sorry it took me so long to come visit! Crazy week! It seems you had a crazy week last week! And yes I can only imagine how hard it is to keep the kids focused! But how they are so generous! I hope you mom had a nice birthday! She must be so proud of the bookworm she raised 🙂
