This Week’s Book Haul:
Non-Bookish News:
It was in the upper 80’s to low 90’s again this week. I’m so over it. I am much more a ‘winter’ person. Bring on the snow and cold! I like summer because I’m a teacher and I don’t have to work, but thats it!
All my friends and family made it through the hurricane safe! Most didn’t have much damage (some flooding was all). They were much luckier than many others.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

“Can I touch it?” 🙂 No really, I’ve always wanted to touch really curly hair!!!! bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! So true!! Yeah, I bet that would be annoying hearing that you should straighten your hair and you should try “Frizz ease”! Awesomely funny video!!
I’ll be down in your neck of the woods this week! I’m driving down on Wed on my way to Louisville. My brother moved from Liberty Hill (OTR) area to Newport, KY and I’m staying over at his new place a night. He’s literally blocks from the river!! I can’t wait to see it! I’m stopping and shopping at Rockwood Commons first b/c we don’t have stores like those up here in MI and I must get my shop on first! I can’t wait. Hopefully it will cool down by then!!!
You will LOVE Moonlight Scandals if you haven’t started it yet! OMG, I hated Dev all along but… but… yeah, it’s awesome!! Hope you have a great week!!
Have fun in Newport!! Newport on the Levy is a great place as well-lots of fun stuff! Rookwood is a great place to shop as well! I haven’t been there in a while though!
Cracked up at both videos. LOL It’s still blistering hot hear but I’m okay with it as I don’t do cold so well. Hottest Septembner I recall in a long time. Thanks for sharing the releases and great haul. And glad to hear your family came through Florence without too much damage.
Oh I am all about the cold weather!! I think I’m part polar bear or something!
Bwahahaha they are so my dog too!!!! Now I am amazed at all the books you hauled! When will you have the time to read them all? And i am glad everyone is safe in your family. Have a wonderful weel (maybe with snow) Samantha!
Glad your loved ones made out ok with the hurricane. That dog video is hilarious. It’s amazing that they understand they did a bad thing, but then, they do it again. I am happy to say it is nice and cool in NJ today. I hope it stays like this. I would love spring and fall all year long, because I hate oppressive heat, and the snow is a great inconvenience.
Humidity is the WORST for curly hair, the last 2 weeks ive had it in a pony tail and it’s like a huge tangled knot birds nest.
The dog video was funny. My dexter knows when he does something wrong.
I am with you and the snow and cold. I am so over the heat.
Have a great week, Samantha! Happy Reading!
WOW 80’s that’s warm for this time of year. Well hopeful fall weather will start rolling i for you ^_^. You picked up some great books in your book haul. I graved a few of NetGalley, but I’ve been good on ARC requests this year. I’ve been very very bad on the freebies offered up though. I’ve picked up a lot of free eBooks. ^_^ Some FREE ebooks you might like to grab “First Taste of Darkness by Cynthia Eden – https://amzn.to/2NCL7pf ” & “Gone With The Ghost (Murder By Design Book 1) by Erin McCarthy – https://amzn.to/2Nw464C ”
Have a wonderful week and Happy Reading!
Thanks! I have an alert set so that every time a Cynthia Eden book goes on sale, I get an email! I never miss a sale on her books!
Love the videos! I love how dogs can look so sad when they’ve done something, you almost feel sorry for them and they’re the culprit! lol or maybe they’re just sad they were caught!
Glad your family and friends were okay through the hurricane. And hope you cool down soon!
Yay! Glad that your family made it out of the hurricane! Hope you have a great week!
I am glad your family made it out of the hurricane. It is always so fearful to hear about such things.
Haha, those curly hair people 😀 I always like people with curly hairs for some reason. they always look cute. But yeah I know, how much problematic they can be to stick in place 😛
Now that’s a ton of books. I got lost in that doggie video. How can you possible stay mad at them? They are adorable. Gotta go back and look again before I leave.
Dogs have the best ‘sad puppy eyes’ for sure!
The Stephanie Plum series is still going on? What in the world can she still be trying to figure out after all this time? Did she ever pick? Is she a cupcake or a babe? I got tired of being strung along and Stephanie not choosing between Morelli and Ranger so I gave up the series.
Sucks that it’s still bleeping hot where you are. It’s not too hot here in Southern California so I’m glad about that. I hope things cool off for you soon because I know all about being a winter person. I hate the heat.
I’m glad to hear that your loved ones are safe and sound from the hurricane. That’s so scary.
I hope you have a wonderful week Sam and that you read all of the good books! 🙂
I love how productive Romance writers are! Look at all those new releases!
I’m so with you on the heat thing. Over it!!! Summer last like 17 months of the year in Florida (what do you mean that’s not possible?) and here it is the end of September and we’re still hitting the 90’s. Gah!
I’m excited for moonlight Scanddals. I loved the first book, like dthe second one, and am really hoping for a big finish with Dev’s story.
