Non-Bookish News:

I can’t believe its almost May! This is the last month of school and packed with stuff! My seniors will be done on May 18th. That will be here so soon! Its crazy! We have lots of stuff coming up during this last month too. Senior picnic, awards assemblies, graduation practices, exams, AP testing, service day. Its gonna be busy! I think thats good though-it helps the time pass more quickly for sure.

Friday was a rough day. I had a terrible day at work and I was just so stressed, I broke down. I sat in my teammate’s office just sobbing. As a teacher, I think everyone has had ‘that day’. It just all has piled up and this was the thing that just broke me. I have wonderfully understanding and caring teammates who listened and supported me and I am so thankful for them!

My husband got me 2 beautiful rings and a new pandora bracelet for our anniversary. I love them! It was wonderful to get such a thoughtful gift in a week that was super stressful.

So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I am so sorry to hear you had a tough day. Teaching is not easy, but that’s awesome that you have some support. What lovely gifts your husband gave you! I used to watch SNL, not recently, because it’s all agenda politics, but like Land Shark, Rosanna Rosanna Danna, and Two Wild and Crazy Guys. They were the best!

  2. Sorry to hear you had a bad day on Friday. I hope your weekend went well and you had a chance to get back to your normal self. I can’t believe the school is almost over. My boy is i Kindergarten and it’s almost done. Where does the time go? I hope you enjoy your new books. I’ve been doing a lot of rereading well listening for the first time on my favorite books/series. I’m currently reading Blood Rites by Jim Butcher. Have a great week and happy reading!

  3. Yay for new books! I hope you enjoy them! My brother has been trying to get me to watch SNL forever, but I just never got into it – probably because I wasn’t allowed to watch it when I lived at home. I do love the clips I’ve seen though! Have a great week!

  4. Oh my gosh old SNL! Fun… and yes this school year is FLYING. Can’t believe it’s MAY already. Sorry to hear friday was rough, but at least you have supportive coworkers. That always helps!

    Happy anniversary!
