Thank goodness the 4th of July is over. I hate all the fireworks. When I was a kid we had a dog that was super scared, and thankfully none of mine are that distressed, but its annoying to have them barking all night. If it were just one night I would be okay with it, but it isn’t. My neighbors go all week and it is so much closer to our house than the city fireworks. Also, I am really concerned about the danger. I know they have been drinking all day (we hear that too), so someone or something could get seriously messed up.
I helped my parents with some stuff this week in preparation for my grandfather’s 100th birthday. They needed some pictures scanned. It was crazy to see some of these old pictures! To think they are close to 100 years old is insane. It is really neat to see.
This week’s weather has been a rollercoaster! Monday it was in the 70’s, then back up into the 90’s by Wednesday, and then the rain came and we settled into the 80’s, which is average. It will get hotter again this week, but this weekend was nice!
I’m still trying to tackle stuff around the house. I just don’t like working on something for a long period of time, ya know. I have no longevity when it comes to a task-I will work on something for 30 minutes, then move to something else, and continue the pattern. Maybe it’s ADHD, or maybe its just the way my brain is wired. After 30 minutes or so, I do NOT want to be doing the same task. So, getting things accomplished is difficult. I think sometimes its just all overwhelming too. So, I keep chipping away…slowly, at my own pace.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

I go in spurts or sprees of cleaning and then ignore it. Some days I have a bit of time where I can fit it in, but other days I just have no slack for cleaning.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I know the 4th is not a good holiday for pets. I myself think people should just attend the displays put on by the township. I am sure this would not be popular, but it would be considerate. Wow! 100 years of your grandfather. How wonderful! I hope it is an incredible celebration.
They don’t do fireworks out where we live because of the threat of wildfires is so high. I didn’t hear one firecracker and I was happy about it. Good luck on all your home projects!
