A spicy, only-one-bed Formula 1 romance from New York Times bestselling author, K. Bromberg.
Surely this canāt be the only solution to overhaul my tarnished rep ā faking a romance with the good girl intern?
But thatās what my agent says. Just a few months of taming my waysāof shedding Formula 1ās party boy imageāwill land me a lifetime branding deal. One I desperately need.
The key condition?
Pretend Iām madly in love with my new girlfriend. The quiet wallflower who I figured wouldnāt put me in my place. Yeah. This girl is anything but that.
Maddix Hart is defiant and intelligent. Loyal and real. Determined and sexy. And damn it to hell, before I know it, sheās in my head, in our bed . . . and if Iām not careful, sheāll see thereās more to me than the man I show the public. Sheāll discover the man I hide from the world. The one who struggles to live up to the unrealistic expectations that should never have been mine.
All I have to do is make sure no one sees the truth behind our farce.
But instead, I let my heart get involved. I begin to believe the lie. And now with everything on the lineāthe deal, a championship, usāam I willing to risk it all to make her see what the rest of the world believes? That we belong together.
On the Edge by K. Bromberg is book two in the Full Throttle series but you can read it as a stand alone. This fake relationship story is set in the Formula 1 world. This has everything you expect in a fake relationship story-the will they won’t they, will their charade be discovered, can the playboy rehab his image?
Cruz is more than meets the eye. There is a backstory that leads to his “fun all the time” persona (isn’t there always). Maddix is genuine. Her honesty and trueness is just there for Cruz. Cruz isn’t used to someone who doesn’t want something from him. As the story goes on, you realize she is not going to let this relationship go without a fight. Bromberg writes amazing chemistry and it sizzles between Cruz and Maddix.
Fans of K. Bromberg will love On the Edge because she is a brilliant author. Fans of the fake relationship trope will love it because it totally delivers. Fans of romance will love it because it is swoony and hot. My biggest struggle with this book? The cover. I don’t care for it at all (honestly, I kind of hate it)! I don’t think it really fits the book. Maybe it is just my MASSIVE dislike of cartoon covers?

other fake relationship stories like How to Heal a Heartbreak by Cynthia Eden, Get Tragic by Lani Lynn Vale, The Dare by Elle Kennedy…then you will probably like On the Edge!
I wanted to read this anyway because it’s a fake relationship book but it’s bringing together my love of reading and my love of F1! I don’t know how to feel about the number of F1 romances coming out right now but I’ll probably read them all and laugh at what they get wrong.
See, I’m the opposite of you in that I LOVE these types of covers. But I’m so far behind on Bromberg’s books. I used to devour them all and even was on an audiobook review team for her for a while. I really need to get into this series soon. Great review!
