Welcome to this week’s Sunday Post. This feature is brought to you by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer, so swing by after you are done here and get the full list of participants!
Who knows? I have nothing scheduled!
eARCs thanks to the authors and publishers:
Luna had her surgery on Tuesday. She is doing well. Our biggest struggle has been to keep her from running and jumping and roughhousing with the other dogs! She clearly feels fine and just wants to play. We have a rough estimate of her age as about 8 months, which makes sense. She still does some puppy behaviors, but she has all her adult teeth and never went into heat. So, we are going with a birthday of October 13th!
Keeping her calm pretty much took up my week! I didn’t get much else accomplished. According to my watch, I’m only getting about 6 hours of sleep a night as well. You would think during summer break I would sleep more, but I find the opposite is true. My husband still has to get up at normal time, so that means all of us do. And since its summer, I tend to stay up a little later. So I guess 6 hours of sleep makes sense. Sometimes, if I can get all the dogs to nap at the same time, I will take a nap, but that is typically no more than 60 minutes.
The cicadas are getting intense around here. In our yard, they emerged early, so we are kind of winding down. But, in the rest of Cincinnati and the suburbs, its ramping up! Photos from the amusement park nearby (Kings Island) show new warning signs: keep your mouth closed while riding or you could end up eating/choking on a cicada! Can you even imagine? Ick.
Saturday, my husband and I went to the movies to see the rerelease of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I love this movie so much, so when it came back to theaters, I wasn’t going to miss it! We haven’t been to the movies since COVID.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

Glad you are mostly having a chance to enjoy your summer! I also got the Jill Shalvis book.

Keep your mouth closed — ewwww! I just saw an article about a man who died from a bee sting in his mouth. So, I guess that is a thing. Hope Luna heals quickly.
