A week with scorching temperatures and zero clouds. Literally, not a cloud in the sky for like 12 days now. It’s crazy. Monday I had an eye doctor appointment and got my new prescription. My contact prescription didn’t change, but my glasses prescription did. I have bifocals and an astigmatism. So, my contacts are just for my distance and astigmatism and I wear readers when needed. My glasses though, have the readers in them. And the readers needed to be a higher power. I could tell something needed to be adjusted because when I read in bed at night (with my glasses, I was not able to see as well. I already had higher power readers that I wore with my contacts.
That was pretty much the only thing I had this week! Luna is doing very well. We have had no accidents in main living area! She even holds it all night. Now, I will start expanding the area she has access to and training that area. She is very smart. She has done well with sit, come, and drop it.
Summer break is half way over! I can’t believe it. Next weekend we are tackling some projects, so wish us luck. Home projects are always stressful when you don’t hire professionals! Its nothing major, just some clean up projects. But, I’m already dreading it.
So, whats new with you this week? Did you read any of the same books I did? Did you find any great book deals I need to grab ASAP? Let me know in the comments!

I hate summer and the weather has reminded me why. Stay cool! That Bowen book looks good. I am looking forward to reading it.
Yep, I am not a fan of this heat! And I hate that summer break is now halfway over for me too! Sounds like we have the same eyesight. I need to get back to the eye doctor in July, my prescription for my contacts will be up then. I haven’t gotten new glasses in years, I wonder if I’ll need stronger ones for the bifocal part as well. I can never figure out what strength of readers I need, so I have no idea if I need stronger ones or not on those. Hope you have a good week!
I’m grateful to still not need glasses other than readers sometimes. I’m glad Luna is doing so well. It will help you a lot if she is well trained by the time school starts again. Enjoy your break and stay cool.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I recently had an eye doctor for appointment as well. It had been like 3+ years since I last seen one and I could tell things had changed. The doctor said my prescription changed a little bit and that I have an astigmatism in both eyes. I knew I had one but apparently I’ve had one in both eyes and didn’t know it because my prescription was for both but I swear my old eye doctor told me just one.
